backup camera suddenly stopped working

So far so good. I reseated the fuses and haven’t had an issue yet, granted it has only been a couple days.

Still happens every now and then. It happened to me again today lines disappeared and came back few hours later after parking the vehicle.

Mine just happened at less than 1k miles 2019 JLR. Black screen in reverse and black screen when you select the camera. Been like this all day but worked last night. I will try some of the things mentioned earlier in the thread. Looks like jeep really doesn't have a fix for this yet?

Mine randomly doesn't work. I almost backed into a car at work because it was dark outside and I just assumed the black screen meant there was nothing behind me...lol

Less than 1000 on my new Wrangler. It’s been at the dealership 3 times to fix the back up camera and the radio. Turns out it needed a new wiring harness and a gateway module. If it continues definitely bring it in.

Hi All,
Just this morning my back up camera stopped working.
Whe I shift into Reverse nothing happens on the screen, even when I press the back up camera icon nothing changes.
Anybody had this experience,
will give it another try later today, hopefully it will reset by itself

If you have a Tazer it could be that....I recently installed one to correct for tire size and the first day of install my backup lines went away, second day the camera stopped working completely but then I did the 2.5min radio reset that I didn't realize you were supposed to do and all has been working well for the last 2 weeks.

2019 Sahara Unlimited with less than 65 miles, backup camera quit working. All black screen disappointing to say the least. It is obviously under warranty but in reviewing the thread there does not appear to be a fix-even through Jeep.

Mine did it the other day. Once Uconnect restarted itself overnight it came back fine. It seems to be a software bug that they will eventually push an update to fix.

Just FYI for folks... my unit does this each morning when it is cool out. Once the Jeep warms up, it goes away. They are replacing the camera on warranty next week, but I have a feeling its the radio unit. If the cab is warm the camera works just fine.

Good luck, I bought mine new on October 28th. it’s been at the dealer for 6 weeks since then. Backup camera and radio do not work.
They’ve replace the radio, the wiring harness, two modules, had a software update and have now replaced the battery. I don’t have a lot of hope. The dealership has been TERRIBLE.

I pulled F11 and then F97 back on December 7th... No issues with backup lines disappearing, until today.
I hate electrical gremlins!

So my 18 JL just gave me a black screen today when in R or use the app control. Backup radar was still there and beeping. I guess I will wait til tomorrow to see if it reset itself. What should I say, Jeep?

'19 JLUR. ~ 1 month old ~ 4000 miles. Backup camera suddenly stopped working with black screen. Hoping the system will resolve itself by tomorrow.

Update: Rear camera working fine after starting jeep back up this morning.
