Backup camera issue

I have a 2018 Jeep Compass, 32k in miles. A few trips ago the backup camera stopped working. I only have a black screen that reads check entire surroundings. I have driven car twice since this happened still have the black screen, so annoying and a safety issue.

I think you may have signed up to the wrong forum?

Try pulling the fuse for the head unit.

It appears there may be a short, when I close the hatch it came on, I closed it again later it went off. Closed it a third time it came back on. Crazy

It's only a safety issue if you keep staring at the blank screen when backing up.
