My backup camera was flakey until I pushed all of the fuses down to seat them properly. A lot of them were loose. No problems at all now for months.

Hi Gkatnh,Add me to the list too.
Got to my vehicle after work today and got a black screen. Just hit 3000 miles this past week taking the family on a 750 mile road trip covering shoreline and dunes driving, Disneyland, and a trip back to NorCA. Up until now, no issues... just pure happiness.
I planned to take my vehicle in for its first oil change and tire rotation - and looks like my air filter is dirty from previous dirt trail runs. Iāll report back should I hear anything helpful regarding the back up camera.
My camera came on but had no image, just a gray screen. I think it had to do with the 25 degree weather that morning, cause it started working after the day started to warm.Hi All,
Just this morning my back up camera stopped working.
Whe I shift into Reverse nothing happens on the screen, even when I press the back up camera icon nothing changes.
Anybody had this experience,
will give it another try later today, hopefully it will reset by itself
Had to bring mine in. Radio and camera had to be replaced. Dealer has had it a weekMy camera came back on the same day (when I left for work). Today, camera worked but no lines.
Donāt know, we cut back in land as soon as was possible. Did not pass that area.Did you drive Hwy 1 up Big Sur ? I read that they fixed the landslide damage .
Hi Lydia,Hi Gkatnh,
I found a TSB that may apply to your concern. TSB 08-012-18 REV. D, published on 11/1/18. One of the symptoms listed on this TSB is, "The radio screen turns black".We suggest speaking with your dealer to learn more about this TSB. If you would like any assistance when your Jeep is at the dealer, you may send us a private message and we'd be happy to help!

Pull the fuse to hard reset the radio... It sounds like a uconnect problem rather than a camera issue.... Uconnect is kinda whacky.... They need a few more updates i feel like to get their software up to par... Its kind of glitchyI have had the same backup camera issue a number of time with my 18 JLU Sahara - usually it will start working again after i have stopped the jeep and waited more than a few hours to turn it back on. The issue has been picture with no lines, as well as the more frequent black screen. A quick stop and restart of the jeep does not correct it. Last night the backup camera wasn't working (black screen) again and this morning the U-Connect radio was working visually, but no sound from the system. Anyone have any issues with the radio not playing any audio? It wouldn't connect the phone either.
Pull F11. If it doesnāt reboot, also pull F97.Iām not familiar with the saying, āOnce your screen goes black, it wonāt come back,ā but that was my experience today and Iām feeling rather butthurt.
My screen went black for the first time today and didnāt come back after a few starts. I have about 1200 miles. Iāve also noticed a time or two when the lines were missing.
I reseated some fuses and will check in the morning.
