Hi All,
Just this morning my back up camera stopped working.
Whe I shift into Reverse nothing happens on the screen, even when I press the back up camera icon nothing changes.
Anybody had this experience,
will give it another try later today, hopefully it will reset by itself

Try completely draining the battery and see if it fixes it. I know that is the fix for the blue screen issue.

Disconnect the battery terminals and wait 5 minutes. There is a video on YouTube if you search for it. I'd find it for you but I'm at work and don't want to browse YouTube :)

Search 2018 Wrangler backup camera blue screen

Should get you there

This happened to more than a few of us. You will likely find that this will resolve itself in the next day or so.

Yup...happened to me a couple weeks ago. My useless speculation is it has something to do with a software push. It fixed itself the next day.

I test drove a JLUR this weekend. The sales guy said for me to put it in reverse to show the back up cam. Nothing. We tried selecting the camera directly through the center console screen and still nothing. So much for showing off!

A couple of hours later it resolved itself and is working again :)
Is there a new software update that triggered that issue ? Is jeep aware of it.
Thanks all.

Why aren't people reporting these to NHTSA when they occur? The backup camera is a federally mandated safety feature as of May 2018 and it's failing.

Lawyers are likely salivating for the first crash or injury to result given all the proof here that there were issues that FCA knew about but didn't issue a recall for, and I've literally never seen a backup camera issue in any other vehicle I've ever driven.

I've never owned any backup camera in any vehicle , and I've never backed into anything . I use my spare tire on my JK 2-door for a reference when backing up ; and I back into parking spaces which have Bentley suvs parked behind me , and Rolls-Royces in front , (when I drive to my doctor in Beverly Hills) .

I let those rich owners worry about it ; they can put out orange cones in adjacent parking spaces if they don't want anyone parking near them . If it is federally mandated , they have too much time on their hands . I fail to understand how a bumper bump has anything to do with safety . That's what the word bumper means : to bump .

If they are interested in safety , they ought to outlaw vehicle parking lots at bars and alcohol-serving restaurants . That might put a dent in the drunk driving .
