I restructured how I calculate this table to include builds that don't have window stickers yet. This seems to make a lot more sense now. Note that I exclude everything that I found on my day 1 since that would severely skew the results. That last row is pretty disturbing.

It is an interesting data anomaly. I wonder what it means.

If they're running two shifts, they build like 900 wranglers a day. So that's nearly three days of production. If they were in progress but unfinished, that would need roughly 20 acres of parking, which certainly seems possible on a 312 acre complex.

So it's certainly possible to speculate some forgotten wasteland of Jeeps - complete except for some critical part (ha! ignition key! :-D ) waiting for a surplus shipment of parts to be received so they can be retrofitted, completed, and shipped on their way after otherwise finishing on the line.

But I still wonder if there's some simpler explanation?

Since my Jeep was for whatever reason not an accepted order for a month after placed with the dealership, my now 11/11/21 order is in an elite group!

255 of those can be accounted for since the first chunk of VINs never got window stickers. I should probably exclude those from everything.

There could be other similar holes in the first month(s) that I haven't identified yet, but my analysis of 10k of mid-2020 domestic builds showed that 100% of VINs with build sheets also got window stickers.

Oh, your sequence number is significantly higher than expected?

Sorry, I don't see anything that could be holding yours up. The cargo tub liner is rare (3.3%) along with grab handles at 7.9% of orders. Those are both getting build sheets.

Thanks for checking it out, I appreciate it. My sale guy called me 2 weeks ago and said I was finally in D1...however nothing since so I'm skeptical

Outside the box thinking here. Builds that "start" but never finish. Is it possible those vehicles were pulled for dealer allotments, adjusted prices (more profitable builds as they were placed after price increases) or to fix shipping issues on identical builds and VIN reassignment?

Basically, I don't see why Jeep would do that... but makes you wonder how some fly through so quick.

Like the guys I saw who ordered in April and delivered in April. Makes zero sense.

Vehicles are somehow slipping through the ether. For all those who give up and don't press the issue with Jeep, those could be the forgotten builds. The squeaky wheels typically get the grease.

Just hard to believe an auto manufacturer can build an identical vehicle ordered this month while one from 5 months ago never progresses.

Possibly, but my analysis of midyear 2020s indicates that all dometic Wranglers that got build sheets also got window stickers.

Had no expectations. I placed my order at the dealership on 11/11/21. My POC shows order date of 11/11/21. No explanation on why the month difference. My sequence number is 116333.

My configuration preview, when I placed my order with the dealership, is dated 10/11/21. Just not getting any answer as to why the POC order date shows a month later. Strange!
Ok, I was off a month. What you're describing is a dealership screw up. They apparently didn't place your order when you made it.
