Android Auto 9.9 final release is available for download and install !

Final release, not a beta release!

I have been running 9.9 final release for a couple of days now.... and about 150 mi. driven with it in use and all is aok....

Big news.... You can finally open Google Maps on your smartphone while Android Auto is running!
This is a very positive thing .... because -->you see less information your JL's radio/ Android Auto display, than in the Google Maps phone app... now, you can access Google Maps on the smartphone and reap much more info, if you indeed need/want more info..

Yes, it's a beta release. I have been running it for 2 days now and 175 mi. driven with it in use and all is aok....

Remember, you can easily roll back to a non-beta release of Android Auto, anytime you want to.

IF you are running a fairly recent Android Auto release version, you will notice no changes.. but, undoubtedly there are plenty of fixes in this new release final, so that in itself, makes the easy do do update a positive update to do.

The 'nodpi' designation is just a non-specific identifier, it applies to any device.

Anyone else running the 10.9.134544 beta that has connection issues?

I get a flash of the connection on my phone, then the Connect says there was a connection issue. No change to anything (phone, cable, port, etc)

I still have my Motorola wireless adapter and that works, but I'd like for the wired connection to work.

I have been running with 10.9 for 12+ days and say 700 mi, without issue.. (8.4 radio and AAWireless dongle)

I've been working with Tazer trying to diagnose why my rig periodically self-disengages the sway bar after slowing down from the interstate.

We're at the phase where the Tazer is just plugged in and not married.

FYI ... My Samsung Galaxy S23 updated to Android 14 One UI Version 6.0 this morning and all continues to work great in regard to Android Auto. Also everything is still working great with my AAWireless dongle.
