Not really sure what you're missing there. Just unzip the downloaded file so that when you put your USB drive into your computer, the folder is sitting in the root directory just like in the pic in my post. Then, stick that USB drive into your Jeep's USB port and follow my instructions.
Would love to get a tailgate graphic like this for my JLR. I like it way better than just the handle graphic. I guess the passenger side would need cutouts for the hinges.
Someone on this forum installed a version of this made by Carobotor (carobotor.ca). Not sure whether they were the original manufacturer and this is a knockoff or the other way around. Either way, it turned out to be a $hit product that was buggy and had limited tech support.
Bought one from the eBay link you posted. Mine arrived without the funnel extension in the pic. Not sure whether that's actually a different model than the one you bought or maybe the seller didn't include the extension.
Another thing to check is the rubber o-ring on the oil filter cap. It's possible that the last time the oil filter was changed, the o-ring was replaced improperly. It should sit in between two ridges near the top of the cap. It's easy for someone changing the filter to miss that and have the...
The UConnect web site hadn't been updated in years and is no longer being supported by them. So, it will keep telling you your VIN is current even if there's a new software version out there.
Not sure if this is your issue, but good advice to anyone changing their own oil: When replacing the o-ring on the filter cover, make sure it goes into the bigger groove and not the last thread at the top of the cap. It won't seal properly otherwise and will wind up spraying oil.
