These are the 2 torx bolts you need to check to make sure your water pump inlet is properly fastened. This seem to affect quite a few 2.0s
With mine, I never used thread locker or even changed out the gasket. I also never torqued them. I cranked down on them and called it a day. So far, it's still tight and no leaks. One thing I did notice when I pressure tested it, it sprayed coolant on the ground and into the radiator. So the coolant smell took a while to go away (when it happened to me it was really cold out and I was not going to rinse the whole thing off).

For anyone wanting to look, just lay on the ground and scoot yourself right under the FL part of the Jeep (about under the steering box). Look up and you'll see the lower radiator hose and where it goes to the water pump. It'll leak where the aluminum housing bolts to the water pump. If leaking, there will be pink crusty stuff all around it.

21 JLUR. 12k miles. Rear coolant reservoir stick is bone dry. Front reservoir shows just below full. Odd. You shouldn’t have to worry about coolant on a less than year old vehicle. Ordered some coolant off Amazon. Will be here tomorrow.

After checking my '21 JLUR 4xe with 8,124 miles, both reservoirs are full. Either everything was tightened to spec or maybe because many of the miles are on electric the coolant hasn't had to work that hard. Either way I'll be sure to keep an eye on it.

My 21 JLR was the same. Topped it off on Friday before a long drive this past weekend.

What has me concerned now is that I took the Jeep in for an oil change today and the dealer said they topped off the coolant. I will probably have to mention the TSB to them.

Glad I saw this, checked mine and it was low. Picked up some coolant and going to check the torque on those two torx bolts.

Just checked mine, 2020 2.0 19k miles both full. I even have an appointment next week at the dealership to have the lower hose replaced. I think the clamp isn’t on properly and it has a tiny bit of coolant build up on it. Might as well since it’s under warranty. Plus I have a big road trip next week.
@NyRey87 is this what your lower hose looked like?

Just to make everyone feel better, after cranking down on those bolts a while back, no coolant leaks. While checking my work, seen that the oil water heat exchanger was leaking oil. No suprise to me, two of the bolts were loose. Got to love Jeep quality.

Had the same problem with my wife's Jeep today. Jeep overheated on her way to her patient's house 30seconds before she got there. Coolant smell according to her. I got there and there was a pool of coolant under the front of the Jeep. Both bolts were loose enough that I got a full turn out of each one of them before they were tight.

Jeep would not cool and continued to overheat despite no additional leaking. Coolant temp 260 - Oil temp 250+. Shut it down and had it towed via Jeep Care to the nearest dealership. Concerned about the overheating and the potential damage to the engine so I now we wait for them to diagnose it.

Btw...no idea how you guys got to those bolts but you either got some skinny forearms or have gouges in your arms like I do now ?

After I'd seen this thread a while back I'd decided to check my bolts and had the same thought. Need like 3 elbows and arms the size of twigs from a medium height shrubbery to get up in there comfortably.

Minor update - Jeep was towed last night called the Jeep dealer this morning (Savage 61 Jeep in Reading, PA) and was told it would be weeks because they have a back log. No courtesy vehicles available because they are 'reserved'. Called Jeep Customer Care and opened a case with them to escalate given the Jeep is less than a year old and obviously a warranty job. Called in some favors from friends/family who know and/or work with other Jeep dealers to see if we can get it in and get a vehicle to drive while repairs are done. 10mile radius forced me to take it to Savage61 otherwise it would have been the very last resort for warranty work...
