Congratulations on your new Jeep!
1. The pinging is completely normal, its usually due to the contraction in in the metal in your exhaust as it cools. It will be the loudest towards the back of the vehicles.
2. The tiny drain hole in your muffler is prone to getting plugged up due to...
The Aisin AL6/D478 manual transmission on the JL is only rated up to 370 Nm (273 lb-ft).
The 2.0 makes too much torque for that transmission.
I took the Dyno. curve of 2.0 vs 3.6 (same dyno, same day) from this thread
Engine \ Stat
Wheel HorsePower
Wheel Torque ft-lb
3.6 V-6
223.39...
Its located in the engine bay on the passenger side. Here's a picture of it (the black thing).
If your is faulty, you can replace it with:
Auxiliary Coolant Pump - Mopar part number (68282197AB)
@sstuner , the reason why these 2 cans have different installation is because the J&L catch can is a PCV can while the Mishimoto can is a CCV can.
There are 2 different ventilation circuits on the 2.0. The PCV circuit is active/venting during non-boost, low-load driving. This circuit is only...
The 2.0 without the eTorque is the best combination. I went with that for the same reason as you. The eTorque adds complexity of another cooling circuit, causes extra electrical problems, adds a heavy low-hanging battery on the belly and is expensive to replace.
Your jeep has an Aux battery...

- top: that’s where the axle tubes goes into with your front differential. I doubt it’s leaking there because the axle tubes are pressed into the pumpkin with an interference fit and then rosette welded into place. If you find oil there, its probably from somewhere else (dripped...
I was there this past summer on a bone stock JLUR and we ran all of the famous trails (imogene, mineral creek, engineer - alpine loop, poughkeepsie, Ophir, black bear, california/hurricane pass) without any problems. There was minimal fuss on all of these trails but you have to be comfortable...
As mentioned by others, the effects of valve deposit is mainly on the intake valves because thats where the dirty PCV vapors re-enter the engine.
Sea foam will not enter your EGR valve, sea foam is a petroleum-based product so most of it will burn up in the combustion chamber if added to the...
According to the eurocompulsion website, under the "tech info & specs" tab.
While i'm not a tree-hugger, It would be cool to be able to get extended range on the jeep when doing long off road camping trips without refueling. I have seen other tunes (mainly on GMs) doing a "lean-burn" option of...
The wrangler would be much better than the cherokee trailhawk (KL) for low speed rock crawling situations.
The solid axle on the wrangler gives it more articulation than the cherokee trailhawk. according to this comparison, a cherokee trailhawk has an RTI score of 322 points while a wrangler...
I think the part you need is this:
Make Up Air Hose
On the efficacy of the catch can. My guess is that you are probably a very efficiency oriented driver and you tend to be light on your pedals. The Mishimoto Catch can is attached to the CCV side and its only active under boost. If you aren't...
Here's a summary of some cooling options and information based on my own research.
The new 2021+ JL 2.0s already use the gladiator style grill with wider openings.
The 2.0s already use the more powerful cooling fan shared with the gladiator. See the part here
Aftermarket parts.

I just tightened mine up last night. The top bolt can be accessed from the top near the turbo by snaking your hand through all of the wires and hoses and putting your low profile T30 wrench up to the bolt. I got 1/8 of a turn out of the top bolt.
The bottom bolt is tricker. Its easiest to...
There's no information on pricing or anything. It also seem to be only available in Israel. Several thoughts
This is a much more custom setup than most IFS vehicles like the 4runner and bronco. On those vehicles, the short control arms means that travel is much more limited. On the Rex kit...
With regards to MPG, a turbo engine's efficiency is much much more sensitive to driving style than NA engines.
If you can have a light foot and stay off the boost, the small turbos can be much more efficient that larger displacement NA engines. On the 2.0, when you are off the boost, you are...
The nice thing about the teraflex is that they are reasonably priced at $299. The wear adjustability, grease ports and all metal internals are also a nice touch.
However, where these lose out against the truly "fully rebuildable" ball joints is eventually you will wear them out beyond what the...

The good:
Twin scroll turbo that spools fast and all the torque down low means its fun to drive.
Definitely more than enough power/torque for the JL
Good mpg if you stay off the boost
Runs fine even on 87
Great at altitudes compared to NA motors
Doesn't seem to...
That "Diesel noise" you hear is normal. Its exactly what the 2.0 should sound like when warming up. The "ticking" noise is the sound of the high pressure injectors for the DI system.
The GME 2.0 has a 2,900 PSI common rail direct injection system powered by a dedicated high pressure pump. Those...
