It most definitely does. When pushing it in though, gotta push it all the way past like the second stop. It catches once then you push it further and it pushes in all the way and catches again.
Did a 30 minute drive, and no leaks at any junctions so far.
The spots and insulation stained pink is from the removal and reinstall where coolant just got everywhere even after emptying the tank.

Have you noticed a temperature difference with the Mishimoto tank holding a bit more fluid?

Nope.
Ultimately, a tank or even a radiator probably won't have an effect on the actual temp. I haven't measured how fast the temps climb or anything like that, and if there is an difference, that's probably where it'd make a difference. But in the end, I'd imagine that with enough continued load, stock or Mishi tank, it'll all reach same high temps.

Unless you’re really beating the shit out of your jeep off-road or racing it. I would personally advise people to stay away from silicone coolant hoses. Last platform I was on everyone was all about them until they discovered they are more porous causing fluid loss over time and they actually let the smell of coolant through. You’re obviously welcome to do as you please. But if it’s a daily I would stick with OEM rubber.
I missed this reply for some reason.

It’s a legitimate concern. I sent them an email to see if Fluorosilicone (FVMQ) or Oat-resistant polymers were used on the inner liner to drastically reduce this, supposedly.

Both rubber and silicone hoses definitely have their pros and cons. Just gotta weigh each and tailor it to your need. FWIW, by the time seepage gets extreme or rubber cracks, it's probably tens of thousands of miles, in which case it's probably time to examine all rubber hoses anyway. But in the case it goes too far, I just elected that I'd prefer coolant loss with the small T junction hoses rather than outright cracked rubber hoses.
By this logic, I should opt for silicone hoses everywhere and while that's true... I just... am too lazy to do more coolant tube stuff...

Just kidding. I got bored today and did the elbow and the Y junction.
So I now have MIshimoto, aluminum elbow, aluminum T with silicone hose, baja T, and aluminum Y junction. Aside from doing more silicone pipes (which I'm not going to do because then I'd have to take the whole thing apart again, and I'm not going to do that for the 4th time...), I think I'm pretty set.

When I swap the tanks; I will use heat reflecting tape on the hot side and bottom. Minor cost and time. Maybe a slight decrease in heat being absorbed. You can notice that Mopar used various heat reflecting materials around the turbo already. On the various lines and hoses passing nearby

The turbo exhaust and catalytic converter release a lot of heat.

Finally did the coolant tank today. Even though there was no leak when my buddy removed the coolant tank.....surprise....surprise. The pictures say it all.
Did all parts. also a similar plastic Y is down near the radiator also which is same part number as the one just below the coolant tank. Changed that out also. Lost some coolant. Replaced it with HELLA OAT coolant.
Used the amazon coolant tank with a metal L below. Lets see how it holds up. India is hot at the moment so lets see.

ALso my buddy used the OEM clips and did not replace them with the screw on kinds which had come with the tank and Y connector etc. He says the clips hold much better.
Also there was another tank on the opposite side which got empty when we lost some coolant. He said its intercooler coolant when he followed the pipe. He topped it off a bit.... there was lot of air which was coming out
