Can you post a link for the heat shield please ?

Any adhesive heatshield will do. The way I did mine...I used paper first to shape my patterns and then applied to the heatshield. I also used a sound deadening roller for proper adhesion.

I put some heat shield on my Mishimoto prior to install

just got done with install of new coolant tank, changed all the plasticconnectors around that hot turbo with metal connectors

i had messaged the Amazon seller that @Penguin07 had linked (90 degree bottom tank fitting) and got a response saying that the fittings are in production but a month or more out from selling more of them.

That tank unfortunately has failures and zero warranty (or baffles in the tank). The mishi is baffled and has a lifetime warranty against failures. Up to you obviously but the Amazon seller isn’t gonna care they sold you a bad product

Have you seen a failed one? Does the OEM one have baffles? Just trying to see if the Mishi one is worth literally 6x the price up here.

I’m not sure if OEM is baffled or not. Mine was starting to show signs of failure so I replaced it anyway.

It’s worth it. If god forbid you have an issue with the Amazon one with the built in 90 on the bottom, seller is gonna tell you to kick rocks. Bunch of reviews on there show failures with that tank. Mishimoto has a lifetime warranty on theirs. And considering the cooling system is the main weak point of the 2.0t, it’s really a no brainer.

I have read some of the reviews on the other metal tanks, I read that some leaked where the weld was. I just like the mishi built quality and the viewing glass. the cap on the Mishi is hard to turn open

Well 23 with only 14k miles. Temps have been fine. Decided to check coolant anyways and sure enough it was low enough not to hit the dipstick on the cap. Screwdriver confirmed about 1/2” of coolant at bottom of the tank. So I just ordered the mishimoto and metal tee and elbow. Just when I said I would not put any more money into it after all my upgrades. lol.
