Yup...If Raptor's still came in a SuperCab, I would still be driving one. But after owning three Raptor SuperCabs, some genius at Ford thought it would be a good idea to discontinue SCABS:mad:
The geniuses at Ford, and other manufacturers, saw that the largest margin is in the largest trucks with the most options. It's also why the raptor went from less than 50k to more than 65k minimum in just a few years.

So now there are zero supercab full size trucks. Gotta go to a mid size like a ranger if you want less size.

I personally think that's dumb. But I get why.

To be honest I believe they are almost the perfect vehicle. Twin turbo, utility, comfort, speed, looks, and as a life time JDM fan, even the sound is good to me. But reliability and dealer support are really what turned me off to the purchase. For the price I could virtually buy any normal vehicle and most vehicles deep into the luxury brand line ups.

Meh, Raptor seems like a pretty “fat” truck to me. Buddy’s got one. Good power but seems clumsy to me. A tad awkward to park.. not my cup of tea.

Admittedly i park in a garage complex. The raptor would take some getting used to.

Yes. Raptors are significantly wider than a wide F150...

6 inches wider than the vast majority of trucks.

What makes it hard to drive and park in a city makes it great for what it was intended for.

Sort of like what makes a wrangler great offroad is what makes it very poor on the highway.

no single vehicle can do it all.

???? Just went on the Ford build sites. Shows both the F150 and F250/350 are still available as Supercab models.
I am corrected.

But

not in higher trim levels that anyone here would buy.
If you are a contractor, sure you can get one stripped out. And not with a 5.5 inch bed.

Personally if I were looking to get a new truck over my 08 f150, I'd personally consider the Tremor F150. More crawler than baja truck, and the towing capacity isn't compromised. Raptor is cool though and does truck stuff.

My 2-door rig is now a JLR and my next 2-door will likely be another Jeep unless they screw up and then it would be a Bronco 2-door...

However if you are looking for a high performance 4x4 truck, take a close look at the Ram TRX...I absolutely love mine.

Nah buddy has 2022 I was being generous with 10 - 12. Real world and sticker are generally far different. Not to mention the 2x the price for Raptor of just plain old good F150 or Ram.
I don’t know if your buddy has a lead foot but if you drive a Raptor gently, you can get up to 19.5 in interstate/highway travel, and about 15-17 driving normally in suburban travel. I’ve never seen 12mpg on mine but I also don’t drive like a Florida Man

Raptors are at home on dirt 2 track roads in the desert or fast washboard forest service roads. The Border Patrol uses them in the southwest to drive fast on the roads along the border. Great for that use.

Get what makes you happy.

Why do we all have to deal with the horrible driving dynamics of the wrangler? Because it can go over stuff that no other vehicle can.

Well I think people forget that like 1/2 of the US is nearly flat and relatively rock free. The wrangler is pretty boring in these places. Nothing to challenge it except mud. The beauty of the raptor is you can make these places fun by simply going faster.

I really wish jeep had a bronco raptor fighter for those of us that don’t have anything technical around, but wasn’t an unreliable, overweight, under trans’d, slow piece of shit like the bronco.
Living out west we are spoiled when it comes to mountains and wide open deserts. I'd love to see a wrangler with a quality shock like the trx bilsteins and the hydraulic bump stops off the Gladiator Mojave from the factory. Keep the solid axle so it can still rock crawl. Throw in the trx rear axle for strength and the new twin turbo straight 6 for power. Include the Mopar 2" lift springs and some 37's and it would be nearly perfect. Not as good in the whoops at speed as the Raptor, but better than most on here seem to think. Guys have been racing jeepspeed at triple digit speeds with solid axles for decades. Swap out to long arms and it would likely have more travel and definitely more articulation than the Raptor.

My truck. Not a Raptor, obviously. I this photo it has a 2.25” ReadyLift up front. Raptor take off wheels and tires. 3.5 EcoBoost has had zero issues since new over 7 years ago. It’s a great tow vehicle and actually pretty damn fast, especially in the mountains. Current suspension is Eibach Pro Truck coilovers up front and a 3” block in the back.

Yes he does and mostly around town we don't have many 100+mile highway drives often. I mean the combined is what 14? 15? People get 26+ mpg with their diesel, most of the time I am at 20 - 22. Sure I can hit 30+ on the instrument but real mpg for me is much lower.

But that is what he tells me it is not my truck but I see no reason for him to make it up.
