By oncoming drivers that believe your high beams are on?

When I'm towing at night, very rarely, it's worse.

When you're towing something, you're getting flashed? That's a pretty straightforward fix. Adjust your headlights. I bet you're lifted and never adjusted them after that as well?

I had a pretty good load of gear and a hitch hauler which caused some rear sag on my stock jlurd and i was getting flashed so much I got to the point where I would manually turn off the headlights and just go with the driving lights when I encountered someone on the two lane road. That soft suspension doesn’t like too much in the back. I am going to look at air bags or a more purpose built lift like an AEV to help counter the sag.

I haven't ever towed with the jeep and we got flashed quite a bit until I adjusted my headlights down.

We were getting flashed often. I found some videos on YouTube that showed how to adjust JL headlights and did the adjustment procedure. I found that the drivers side headlight was higher than it should be and the passenger headlight was just a little high. It was quite simple to do and have not gotten flashed since with the exception of cresting a hill which you really can’t do much about.

Is that because you’ve made modifications? I’m just wondering if this would be a problem in a stock Jeep. I’d hope they are set correctly during production.

My 2-door was way too high in the front from the factory. I even got pulled over once for "driving with my brights on" when I had two passengers in the rear.

I solved it with a Warn 10-S and the Maximus-3 winch plate. Now the headlights are right where they should be.

I used to get flashed in my TJ a lot and I would just flash back to show them what high beams really looked like.

I feel like people driving with their high beams on is just a common occurance now. Most don’t even know because their driving newer cars with LED automatic high beams that seem to always think it’s too dark out.

Usually on hills, but that’s because people don’t understand how angles work. I’m cognizant that I’ll need to adjust when my lift and new tires go on.

Jeep modder, among other things.
It has happened to me a couple of times. Which reminds me that when I get around to raising the front, which is currently sitting a little over an inch lower than the back, I will need to adjust the lights.

Happens to me ever so often, mostly with bad angles from hills and drivers that dont understand said concept, but when towing I get it alot. On our Ouray/Moab trip last year I had enough squat from tounge weight that my high beams were useless just shining into the sky.

I find I get flashed mostly when I have my fog lights on. Aim is probably off. I’ll take a look….. one day…..

I was getting flashed with OEM halogen lights and completely stock. My theory was the Jeep was sitting high being a Rubicon. Headlights are probably adjusted the same across the line, including for Sport-Rubicon. I don’t get flashed nearly as much with my new bumpers and after market LEDs properly adjusted.

UNTIL, I put LEDs in the turn signals and running lights. I am now getting flashed and I think it’s because I put the brightest lights possible in there and they are right in line with other drivers eyes.
