Another indecisive color thread. No new and interesting colors for 2022 yet. So the plan is to order a White 2-door JLR with black hard top. I will probably add a painted mat black grill somewhere down the line to tone down the white.

What are your opinions about fender color? Go painted white or leave the fenders black? I honestly can go either way?

The JLR will remain mostly stock. I will tint the front windows and apply some paint protection film.

Any pics of both are appreciated.

Had the same debate. Ultimately went with painted white. Thought it looked like more of an upper trim level.

White Rubicon and I'm going black hard top, black fenders, and probably doing some sort of graphics on the jeep it self. Just waiting on the order to show up.

I have black fenders and glad I do. They get beat up. If you drive any gravel the rears catch a lot of rocks. If you plan on offroading it, they will get pretty scratched up too. Mine are chipped and scratched. If they were painted they'd look horrible.

i went with all white. If I were to do it again I’d go with the black. The black will fade but they hide rock chips and scratches a lot better. If you never go off road then painted fenders look good and will always look good.

I have painted and they do catch some rock chips. At least you can dab some touch up paint in them though. Not sure you have a similar option for black.

Yeah, I know what you mean. With some PPF though they do ok in brush. Ultimately though too, the plastic ones are less costly to replace if you smash them :)

If you're going black top, and thinking black grill, I'd definitely go black fenders.

White fenders can be a cool look but only with white top.

I was a bit disappointed when my white, early pre-ordered arrived with black fenders, but still had a painted top. 4xe pre-order info was incomplete (including price).

Anyway, after driving it for a few thousand miles including a few hundred on forest roads, I'm glad I have the black. Without mud flaps, my fenders took a beating! Now that I have some wide rock sliders, most of the rocks are deflected, but I still have lots of branches scrape along the sides leaving marks. I have to imagine painted fenders would look bad whereas the textured black, even scratched & dented from tire-thrown rocks, look OK (from 5' away).

The attaches image is one week after delivery & only 5 miles of gravel road.
