  1. New Gorilla glass is stupid $$$$

I am a sample of ONE. I needed to replace 3 windshields within 2 years on my ’19 without Gorilla Glass. I made it to over 2 years with my 2022 with Gorilla Glass. The 3 regular glass windshields probably cost close to the same as ONE Gorilla Glass windshield. I only got Gorilla Glass because...
  2. New Gorilla glass is stupid $$$$

Correct. There is no free lunch. Even a call to your insurance agent just asking about a claim can affect rates. That call can be logged into your CLUE report. It is like a credit report for your insurance claim history. Everyone should get a copy of their CLUE Report...
  3. New Gorilla glass is stupid $$$$

Was your windshield covered by the Gorilla Glass warranty or by your own auto policy? How did you go about making your claim for the windshield if it was through Gorilla Glass?
  4. New Gorilla glass is stupid $$$$

The engineers at Jeep possibly eliminated the exterior mounted antenna for Noise, Vibration, Harshness reasons. Maybe wind noise from the antenna. Or for EPA reasons? Maybe that antenna was responsible for aerodynamic drag in the wind tunnel that resulted in a .00000000000001% lost in MPG.
  5. New Gorilla glass is stupid $$$$

    How much did that cost?
  6. New Gorilla glass is stupid $$$$

Insurance is regulated by State so every State is different. Windshields are usually covered under comprehensive. Some States and insurance companies also have specific windshield coverage.
  7. Ratbert's Dealers Below-Invoice Spreadsheet

I will contact some of the dealers I bought from before. Thanks!
  8. Jeep Cuts Pricing (and/or Adding More Standard Content)!

Wrangler demand is not like it was when they were pretty much the only show in town. Prior to the Bronco there was no competition for the Wrangler. Jeep is probably loosing some sales to the Bronco.
  9. Ratbert's Dealers Below-Invoice Spreadsheet

Anyone here know anything about Wagoneer pricing? Ahy idea on what they sell for under invoice? Will Tread Lightly work with a Wagoneer? Sorry for going off topic. A friend's truck got totaled and they need a new truck soon. Just trying to point them in the right direction.
  10. Trade in Values tanking

I am also surprised by current Wrangler residuals. Historically Wranglers had exceptionally great residuals. That was when they were the only game in town. There was no competition. Prior to the Bronco there was really no direct competitor for the Wrangler. Part of softer Wrangler resale values...
  11. Mammoth Cave…Kentucky

The National Corvette Museum and Corvette factory tour if it is open for tours again.

  14. Dealers % Below Invoice on 2022 Wranglers

I have been away from the forum for a while. What's the discount on a 4xE now? Which dealers in the Washington state area have the best deals on a Rubicon 4xE?
  15. (Rubicon 4:1 Rock-Trac HD Full Time 4WD) order it or not?

I did order it. Took delivery last January. Had one winter so far. It's nice being able to set it and forget it on snow or rain. I don't miss throwing the transfer case lever back and forth betwen wet and dry roads. Very satisfied. Highly recommended!
  16. I'm looking for lockable locks for the engine Hood

That electric hood lock looks pretty cool if it is reliable and durable. It would be a great option for vehicles with front mounted cameras. The Bolt hood lock is super simple to install. Takes about 45 minutes start to finish if it's your first time. Less then 30 Minutes if you have done one...
  17. US vs. Italy 2.0T Engine

Summer performance tires and freezing temps is a bad mix. Though we were driving super-super careful weather was definitely part of the reason we got stuck under the truck. It was clear weather and we suddenly hit a very short patch of flurries and black ice all of a sudden. The truck did not...
  18. US vs. Italy 2.0T Engine

Your right, just about 80% of new cars sold today are SUVs or trucks. I love my Wrangler but I have sports cars too. I own a 2020 Miata RF also. I have taken it on several long road trips. My Miata is one of the lower cars I own. I am looking under trucks when they are next to me. I drive the...
  19. US vs. Italy 2.0T Engine

My '19 JLR had the Italian 2.0L. It was flawless. I'd buy another without hesitation.
  20. US vs. Italy 2.0T Engine

Good to hear no one was hurt. I know the feeling. I was stuck under a 18-wheeler for several minutes in a Corvette once. Watching it's wheels grind closer and closer in what seemed like slow motion. The truck drive did not even realize we were stuck under his truck for a while. We probably were...
