Took mine to a dealer for the warranty claim - they said the warranty only applies to them, the dealer.
their response: I heard back from warranty and they stated that the windshield is not covered by the warranty. They stated "when the vehicle is sold or otherwise disposed of (i.e., the vehicle is no longer titled in consumer's name), the limited warranty ends.." I do apologize for this. "
When I said I was the consumer, I bought the vehicle new. They said they were the initial consumer: "Correct, the consumer they are speaking about is the dealership. I am getting with my General Manager to see if there's anything we can do. Unfortunately the warranty is Mopar/Stellantis so we can't change their minds."

The General Manager response was basically if I didn't like the answer, go back to dealer I bought it from.
With that dealer's mentality you have no warranty on your Jeep whatsoever. It only applies to them.

This is one of the reasons I like AZ. Excellent windshield coverage on auto insurance policies. I think i get up to 5 windshields a year across all of my vehicles for free, with no hit to my premium. Don't have to worry about the warranty with that kind of coverage. All of of my vehicles get a new windshield every 2 years on average, sometimes more often (both the Jeep and Bronco have pretty much the same upright angle).

It's never "free". Policies like to creep up in price every 6mos or year due to "Higher loss experience in your geographic area / territory." Or some similar terminology.

So I get to thank YOU for my $50 increase every policy renewal when I've had no claims. 🤑

I've never seen "free" glass coverage on any policy quote I've received in AZ. There is usually a "comprehensive" coverage and a price for "comprehensive with 0 deductible glass". They are different prices and the only "free" part is no deductible.

I have spoken to insurance companies about that and glass claims can count against you. Usually for one replacement here and there most companies don't count it as a claim though. I stopped paying glass coverage on my wranglers. The windshields can be found pretty cheap for cash anyways. But what i have done rather successfully is to repair the star crack myself with those $12 permatex kits. IF you can get to them early, they dont spread. Also with a little double sided 3m tape, you can reuse the kit for around 3 repairs. I've even used the resin on long cracks successfuly to stop spreading.

Im convinced the glass replacement companies donated all the "decorative" gravel along AZ freeways to ADOT.

Are all dealers like this? Dealership and names blurred.

Not that so much. They are just so slow and unresponsive.

I called them the day it happened. They told me to come in the following Monday. I went in. They took pictures. They texted me that they needed new pictures. I took them. And now I'm just waiting.

Sounds about right. I made an appointment for a recall, they scheduled it for a couple weeks in order to have time to get the parts in. I showed up, they took my keys and said it’ll be a few weeks—they still needed to order the parts.

Gila county, worst road for rocks in the USA, and I've been everywhere, like Cash.

The OP crack, too large for warranty

Conversely, my 24 has GG, and lots of fine pits, but knock wood, no cracks at 2 years and 22,000 miles. Trust me, I hear some of the hits that windshield has taken and keeps on ticking. I know others have poor results, but it's working for me so far. I do have one complaint on GG, under certain angles of sun, the window seems slightly hazy, it's the protective layer I guess.

to what "protective layer" are you referring? did you add something?

if so, what did you add?

I pay about $50 extra per year for zero deductible glass coverage. Money well spent.

no idea came that way,. just looks like top layer vs glass. GG maker says be careful because outlayer is not glass??

I say no issue on my 24 JL, but just moved it up my hill 100 feet. Made one horrible thumb from transfer case area like jumping a tooth, and fuel tank read zero (half tank) . Could not duplicate thunk, all good, shut off and restarted, fuel shows half again.

the outside of the GGlass i've seen had nothing on it; top layer is plain old Soda Ash glass like any normal windshield.
the magic of Cornings Gorilla Glass is the inner layers strength and resistance to penetration, nothing to do with resistance to chips or cracks.
