The link specifically says “available for 2007-2018 Wranglers”, otherwise known as JK’s only.
I have an appointment today to get our JK windshield replaced. I asked Safelite about gorilla glass and they said Safelite doesn't carry it. I'm not in a hurry to replace the JLs because it won't last long and seems like a waste of time. Jeep you listening!

Is Jeep going to do anything for JL buyers? Clearly this is a defect in their glass. My windshield broke sitting in the garage after it warmed up I turned on the front defrost and CRACK it had a 3" crack in the middle bottom. This is a complete joke and Jeep should take care of all of us until they figure it out.
I know the post is a few months ago, but I had the same issue. Spent weeks talking with JeepCares and local dealers. Total waste of time. My Jeep had a brand new windshield that I literally watched crack in the parking lot as it was defrosting one morning. Who knows if it's QC with the glass, the glass being installed under tension, or the fact the defroster only really hits the middle of the windshield but not the sides at all (I always have ice buildup on both sides of the windshield in the winter, even when running the front defroster on full blast). I love the JL but the poorly vented front defroster (too centralized) and front windshield cracking are things I'd definitely change if I could.
As of now, I'm still driving with the cracked glass bc JeepCares won't do a thing, and the local dealers are a joke in CO. If and when I either have an extra $500 bucks or it progresses more I'll replace at my cost and bypass the entire dealer network. The catch 22 in the Denver area is that dealers will not install glass, they refer to safelite, but safelite will not warranty claim unless the dealer authorizes and I cannot get 1 dealer to authorize as they won't even make me an appointment to look at the glass!

You want the aftermarket glass. The factory glass has location pins in it and looks like that helps with the breakage along with the shit glass itself.

Yeah I’m just going to go with safelite/ their recommended non mopar glass. Love my JLU but this is an issue they should’ve warranty fixed once no questions with a diff/ better glass as it’s clearly a design/ materials defect.

There is a thread on how to fix the defroster pattern. Low cost and effective.

You can get your windshield fixed under warranty if you hire enough experts to testify on your behalf and you sue FCA. Good luck with that.

I’ll check out that thread re: defroster pattern. Great to know there’s a low cost fix other than stopping to break the ice off the windshield every 20-30 mins!
I’m over jeepcares and windshield cracking issue - not worth my time. I’ll be using the cracked one as long as possible then a local glass shop gets my business when I replace.

Question regarding the Windsheld defrost thread.

There are several solutions given. I went with the ones in post 175 and they work for me. You can buy a bag of black plugs that fit into each hole of the defroster vent. You can play with the pattern that works best for you.
I think the Jeep engineers gave us challenges like this because they know we like to tinker and problem solve.

I do love to tinker...I also like to make progress so I’ll try that method ! Thanks for the suggestion.

This time of year you will have to gauge the air flow itself unless you climb in elevation and get some frost on there to visually see how you want it.

I went with Safelite non mopar glass, and zero cracks with multiple rock strikes. Not definitive of course, but I'm impressed so far.

Last March and April I had a 5,000 mile road trip through snow country so a lot of gravel shot up at highway speed. A couple of barely visible flecks but no pits, stars or cracks. I was surprised because they were loud hitting the windshield.
