I have a '25 JLUR with gorilla glass. It has ~8,500 mi bought new last July. It was 25F outside when this happened. The night before I parked in the garage. The temp in the garage and of the Jeep was just over 50F. I'd been driving for ~7 minutes with the heater on when the windshield cracked. No impact. It just cracked.
Should this be covered under the warranty?

Yes there is a 2 yr, one time replacement of the gorilla glass from the factory warranty. I had mine done last year for a good size crack in it. Your dealer should take care of it as mine did.

With these weather conditions it happened to my girlfriend’s Nissan SUV. Never blast your heaters with these conditions. Windshields are trash lol.

The repair store who are specialized on windshields said that this week they’ve had outrageous numbers of cracked windshields.

You're thinking that's not a direct result of crews putting crap on your roads to deal with the snow?

Some dealerships will give you grief about honoring the warranty for that first replacement. Others won't.
Took mine to a dealer for the warranty claim - they said the warranty only applies to them, the dealer.
their response: I heard back from warranty and they stated that the windshield is not covered by the warranty. They stated "when the vehicle is sold or otherwise disposed of (i.e., the vehicle is no longer titled in consumer's name), the limited warranty ends.." I do apologize for this. "
When I said I was the consumer, I bought the vehicle new. They said they were the initial consumer: "Correct, the consumer they are speaking about is the dealership. I am getting with my General Manager to see if there's anything we can do. Unfortunately the warranty is Mopar/Stellantis so we can't change their minds."

The General Manager response was basically if I didn't like the answer, go back to dealer I bought it from.

My gorilla glass cracked within minutes of leaving the dealership when I purchased the vehicle new. Two dealers told me it was not covered by warranty even though I had the written Gorilla Glass warranty from the Jeep website in hand.

Good luck!

This is one of the reasons I like AZ. Excellent windshield coverage on auto insurance policies. I think i get up to 5 windshields a year across all of my vehicles for free, with no hit to my premium. Don't have to worry about the warranty with that kind of coverage. All of of my vehicles get a new windshield every 2 years on average, sometimes more often (both the Jeep and Bronco have pretty much the same upright angle).

Kinda common with Jeeps as the windshield being flat is a prime target for even the most insignificant tiny pebble or rock hitting it. My 2019 (traded-in for my current 2025 JL) had to be replaced twice. Tiny crack that grew in size so fast it really wasn't safe. It was out of warranty so my insurance paid for it but with a $500.00 deductible for glass, it hurt. And ya have to argue about getting real OEM and not after-market. I went to Safelite as they were better at changing the glass than the dealer. Same on a TJ I owned years ago. But your issue was not a rock or pebble impact, unless that did happen and unknown to you started an exercise that only showed itself when it got bitter cold? Warranty should cover you I'd think. Again, make sure you are getting the OEM, even at a dealer that will try and install after-market and then pocket the difference.
It's was 4 degrees this morning here in the NY/NJ area I live in. I was applying a hairdryer to an expired registration on a 1953 MG in my garage to get the label off the windshield. They was a tiny crack that I never noticed before when I was finished which of course sucks. The windshield is "flat" BTW. But a car with ancient glass that is 73 years old... a lot different than a Jeep or car new or just a year old. Sh*t happens. Bitter cold on these flat windshields, running the front defroster introducing warm/hot air to a freezing plate of tempered glass and just the movement of the vehicle. I don't know what year they started calling it "Gorilla Glass" but seems that is kinda an admission that it's better than what was offered prior. It wasn't called that on my '19 JLU which pretty much is the same Jeep, just with less fur-fru on it.
I'll add as I'm just recalling that my insurance company would only cover windshield replacement twice/2 times a Jeep Wrangler with of course, the flat windshield. Must be a reason for that you'd think. Allstate.

wow. that dealer's spewing an especially spectacular line of BS.
at this point you have nothing to lose (but time) trying to work through J**pcares.
