Top speed for 2020 JT will be limited to 110 MPH according to standard features listed on jeep's build site.

all cars/trucks/suv past mid 80's that have ecu/pcm have been speed limited. Each model has it's own limit by what tire rating it came from the factory.
These limiters can be turned off or modified with most tuners. It's up to the operator then to determine how fast they would like to go. Or max hp/gearing rpm would be. So, if your Rubi could push the wind you would get to 231.7 mph and your friend with S would hit 270 ish with the 3:45 gears.
In the end I would think the real max speed would be 120 ish before hp and air would hold you back.
If you get a tuner, come back let me know what it made it to. that would funny to hear. I have only been 170's in my Vette ( only true sports cars are unlimited from the factory ).
Lastly be safe, do not try on public roads, Many events all over the State's to go have fun at full speed.
Usually, correct about being digitally limited. However, I have been selling Porsche for quite a while now and most of the cars we sell (new ones also) are not governed at all.

Yes, true sports cars. I put the Porsche, BMW M's, Benz, and many more are in the unlimited class.
I remember a time with my wife's 06 BMW X5 4.8is, when someone had to tailgate me. Know his car was limited, @100-105 he was done tailgating... Not my smartest move on public freeway... That was a fast 5000 lb SUV.

Surely there's been an edit. Why doesn't this site log edits anyway?
Yep, edited, just didn't hit the return key quickly enough before offending. My bad.

Theoretical top speeds at redline, based on gear ratios, are one thing. The ability for a vehicle to overcome wind and road resistance to reach redline is something different entirely. There are a bunch of arguments on here that are totally screwed up. Either way, I would have to see someone post a radar certified (not speedometer reading) 125 mph on flat ground before I believe a stock Wrangler will do it.

What he wrote was correct....depending on how your read it. If you inserted "numerically" after his comment "the higher the axle ratio" (numerically)....then it's fine. Which is how I read it. Lighten up, Francis.
Say 'shorter' or 'taller' gearing instead; removes all ambiguity.

100 mph, 105 mph, 125mph and narry a mention of the 'death wobble'! I know people say it predominantly occurs in the 40-55 range. There has also been some that have said it has occurred at much higher speeds.
Uhmmmmmm, gonna just read how all this goes by trial and error by those seeking that answer!

When the zombies, tsunamis, or those damn dirty apes start attacking, and you have to get out of town with only a few bottles of water, your bug out bag, and trusty AR 15, you will wish you knew what the top speed of your JL was!

But when there is chaos in the streets, you need to go off road to avoid it. Top speed isn’t a factor there.

Rubicon is geared lower... Of course it tops out before a Sport or Sahara.
Not necessarily true. You are making to assumptions: 1- that there is not a speed limiter set by the factory below the capability of the car. 2- you assume that both have the horses to red line the rpm in the highest gear.
Very few cars can do that, and the lower geared may have an advantage.
