  1. Upgrading to a 2024, is it worth it?

That's an awesome piece of advice. Live for today, in your budget of course, but at least live a bit. if you're breaking even or better, then good for you, as long as you're happy. I've read your thread, and I would have done it too.
  2. Illinois Rubicon JT (Gladiator) Rock Rails taken off at 2K miles, like new, no defects, also have new mounting hardware. Southern IL, Zip 62884, $150

Another user on the Gladiator Forums informed me these are not worth the effort to sell since they are so plentiful and practically given away. I'm going to mark them as sold and keep them so if I'm ever in a crash.
  3. Any way to upgrade infotainment center to 2024 version?

A few members have discussed this. Looks like it is doable, but the cost would be really high with the modifications to make it work. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/will-older-jl-models-be-able-to-upgrade-to-12-3-screens.113105/
  4. Tried a Gladiator, and went back to a Wrangler

I'm getting to be a bit up there in age. I've owned plenty of Jeeps and am fluent across all models beginning with the JT. They all have a purpose, and it's kind of hard to nail down which one I favor, as they all have their strengths and weaknesses. I've also owned plenty of trucks, and this...

  6. Tried a Gladiator, and went back to a Wrangler

Before anyone responds...Please do not place shade on our Gladiator brethren. To me, it's a 4 dr with an extended wheel base and a truck bed. It's a variation of the Wrangler, and has its own appeals. Might not be right for some occasions, but right for others. I respect this.
  7. Antenna delete options...

If you remove the stock antenna, you will not receive vital information from the resistance when the apes and zombies start their crap. Could also be the aliens, but I'm placing my bet on those damn dirty apes.
  8. Is the Ecodiesel the best Wrangler motor ever?

I'm not so sure, it may be determined years from now though. From Other Peoples Money: "Amen. And amen. And amen. You have to forgive me. I'm not familiar with the local custom. Where I come from, you always say "Amen" after you hear a prayer. Because that's what you just heard - a prayer...
  9. Is the Ecodiesel the best Wrangler motor ever?

On the Gladiator side of the house, the diesel version tows less than the 3.6 gas Rubicon, or any other with a max tow package. Jeep could not go with a bigger diesel though, as the design of the Wrangler/Gladiator engine compartment would cause overheating.
  10. Is the Ecodiesel the best Wrangler motor ever?

"occurring, found, or done often; prevalent" https://offroadquery.com/jeep-wrangler-diesel-engine-problems/ https://askcarmechanic.com/what-are-jeep-ecodiesel-problems/...
  11. Is the Ecodiesel the best Wrangler motor ever?

Common issues are engine overheating, coupled with exhaust leaks, lack of support to re-route air intake to compensate since air intake is on the opposite side, battery placement, oil separator issues, particulate issues, oil cooler failures, turbo lag. Not saying if it's bad or good, but just...
