SS dude,
I already have a great aftermarket track bar, does your drag link and tie rod have to be paired with your track bar to work right or am I ok without it?

As stated by a few others, there is no necessity for you to run everything if you currently have a quality part that is taking care of business as needed.

Awesome news. Do you plan on offering a jam nut version for us masochists? Not sure how I feel about clamps on aluminum linkage. But if you could put it in that torture jig and test it against this then that would convince me, since the barnes tie rod worked out very well for me on my JK.

No plans for a jam nut version at this point, but we will definitely be putting these through a torture test and won't be releasing them unless they meet our requirements. I can understand your concern, as no one else has ever offered clamps on aluminum, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I have the draglink with griffin, trackbar, tie rod, stabilizer, and sway bar end links all of the are steersmarts will be installing this friday can’t wait to test it out, will do a feedback once installed and tested

By the way i have a 2 inch lift dynatrac endurosport with 33inch tire 18inch wheels

Original Poster here. Got all the parts and installed. A big improvement in the steering! Absolutely loving how the JL drives now. I did have a Couple of issues and questions though:

1) I have the evo 3.5” long arm lift kit. Given the recommendations for top mount only with > 3.5in lift, I went with the bottom mount. The evo kit raises the rear track bar, and they recommend an adjustable front track bar as well. I want to raise the front track bar and use the top mount drag link, has anyone tested with the evo 3.5 long arm lift kit? I’m considering trying it if no one has tested it.

2) installed your sway bar link ends. The passenger side didn’t fit easily into the bottom bracket and required quite some effort to widen the bottom bracket to fit. Feels like your drag link needs to be a tad narrower to fit with no issues...

3) I set to toe in, but with your recommendation I’m going to try toe out and see how it drives...

4) is it possible to install a falcon 2.2 or fox racing stabilizer on the steersmarts setup with no issue? I’m running your steering stabilizer, but like the idea of some adjustability

Improvement is better than the stock firm, i dont have a dearh woble before but when it was in stock there is like a shaky steering running above 65mph, when i installed the this setup issue is resolve and it drives like a car now.

Did the steering dead spot improve?

Also is the steering any harder to turn?

Not sure about dead steering spot, but the steering is not hard to turn its like a car soft but firm.

You will experience a hard steering if your damper from tie rod is not level or not aligned. Other than that smooth as good..

I will have the 2" Synergy lift, with a Fox Factory Race stabilizer. it seems everything is pretty tight under there between the draglink and tie rod when flexing.

plan is to run this: FACTORY RACE SERIES 2.0 ATS STABILIZER - 983-02-148

but I'm worried it may not fit if not in the factory location. Fox makes a bracket to swap to a track bar mount, but not sure how things will fit once everything is aftermarket.

The steersmart shit looks "gimmicky" to me. I've always ran Synergy, never had a single issue. And setting toe out? Sure go against literally every bit of automotive engineering that every single other manufacturer recommends...

I have the falcon Nexus 2.2 with the proper tie rod clamp and steer smarts tie rod, drag link and track bar. It's CLOSE but I got it to fit with maybe 2mm gap between lock to lock wheel turning.

I have seen a few running the Falcon, even with stock parts it seems tight. I had the fox 2.0 performance one on my 2019, and even it was tight at full lock and flex. Thats why I was wondering if the larger fox with the piggyback on it would clear. I have a feeling it won't, but hopefully it will. I think it will be fine in factory location with a stock tie rod, but once everything is upgraded it seems space is limited quite a bit.

You're entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't mean you're right. I doubt you know the history of Steer Smarts, our engineering prowess/capability, or the history of our parent company and their nearly 90 years of OEM linkage production for the big 3. They were delivering pitman arms to Henry Ford via horse and buggy in the very beginning.

Your thinking is a prime example of peoples inability to look outside of what they think to be truth/fact. It's easier to reply negatively than to be open to a differing opinion and digest the information objectively.

My response is for those who are open to the possibility that there is a different way to set up your vehicle than what has been regurgitated without question for 40 years. For anyone like yourself who can't fathom the idea, you can continue with your regularly scheduled program.

I have the steer smarts and it has done me well and I've destroyed it even replaced the adjuster tube on the tie rod. I'm switching to a new aluminum steering 2" and doing testing for the company before its released for sale.

It's more complicated than it needs to be. Anytime you add complexity where it's not needed you just add additional points of failure. I don't know of anyone having a failure and I'm not saying their stuff isn't great quality, i just don't like things that are more complicated than they need to be. I like their stuff, I'd just rather go with something simpler with less parts.
