@ORACLElights - I preordered on 11/10 (not a part of the group-buy) and paid 100% up front and you charged my credit card the same day. I‘ve had a USPS tracking number since mid afternoon on Wednesday 12/23. As of today (6:00 P.M. 12/28), USPS still says that they haven’t received the package from you. I sent Oracle an email asking for an update this morning and was told by your customer service department that USPS takes 3-5 days to update shipping/tracking (news to me as my experience has been with electronic scanning, tracking is updated instantaneously). I am one state away from you and about a 6 hour drive. If you can confirm that my package left Oracle last Wednesday but wasn’t scanned by USPS, perhaps you could have USPS trace it? I just want my lights!
These packages are sent with tracking. They are scanned when the USPS takes possession of them. I can understand that they may get delayed or mis-routed by USPS after they take possession but they claim that they haven’t received the package from Oracle. It appears that most, if not all customers have received theirs that were shipped when mine was. Businesses need to use dependable shipping to keep customers happy. If the USPS doesn’t cut the mustard, there are better options available. I do almost 100% of my non-grocery shopping on-line. I find Fed-Ex to be the most dependable followed by UPS with USPS being a distant third. However, USPS tracked packages have been dependable the vast majority of the time. If they do go errant or get stuck somewhere, you can tell where as their scanning and tracking is accurate in my experience.
I hear you and agree. However, what throws salt in the wound is that Oracle has had 100% of my money since 11/10/20, and I’m ok with that, plus they hit their projected ship date pretty closely, but to be told that my order was shipped, only to find out five days later that it’s apparently fallen into the black hole known as the USPS and all I can now do is sit and wait indefinitely, hoping that someday the package will appear on my doorstep, is hard to swallow. The seller is responsible for you getting your merchandise regardless of whether their chosen carrier performs or not.
I definitely understand that you are eager to get your product. Yes, all the packages with tracking numbers sent out have already been picked up on Wednesday like mentioned and confirmed with our management. They are all out of our possession. We didn't watch them scan each package at the time of pickup so I can't confirm when exactly they scan them; I can say that they have been slow with scan updates nationwide.

USPS can't give you (or us) any update until the first scan; if you don't receive an update from them by 10 business days from the day you got the tracking number, we are happy to file a lost package claim on your behalf.

We, like other retailers, are doing our best to accommodate your needs around these nationwide delays. Our checkout system provides multiple options for shipping methods/carriers so you can choose which fits best for you. I don't have your name or email to look up your exact tracking number, but we are happy to help however we can in the meantime.

I hear you @BLACKMOAB. Mine still says:

December 23, 2020, 10:35 pm
Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item
METAIRIE, LA 70002
A shipping label has been prepared for your item at 10:35 pm on December 23, 2020 in METAIRIE, LA 70002. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date.
No further updates at this time. I have chosen to show more grace in 2021 and with that said I’ll sit, sip my bourbon, and let the cards fall where they may.

Thank you for your grace! Believe me, the current shipping issue is causing big problems for retailers and customers alike so we are thankful for our passionate and patient customers. If you have a tracking number, the carrier has possession of the package and will hopefully update you soon. Enjoy your bourbon in the meantime!

@ORACLElights I apologize for one more comment - I promise it will be my last on this topic as I too will concede to sit back and hope that sometime in the future my order will arrive.
Are there many logical consumers out there that buy a $100 item 30-60 days in advance of a tentative date of availability that forego an offer of free shipping and pay an additional $10 - $30 for shipping to presumably receive said item two or three days sooner? Your continuing to state that being an option to shift the blame of an inept USPS to a poor decision by the consumer is a bit disheartening.
Still no hard feelings on my part, I’m just anxious to finally get to see my way while reversing my Jeep at night!

I didn't pay additional for shipping and I chose UPS.

Interesting. I paid around $8.50 for shipping, picking the cheapest option (USPS), because I'm cheap. I didn't have a free shipping option when I paid the balance. That's a little aggravating if the other group orders had free shipping.

Looks like I got the short end of the stick both ways... paid for shipping and shipped after Christmas, unlike the other group buy orders. I'm starting to think my order was not handled like the other group orders, even though I paid the $40 balance on Dec 4 when Oracle's email went out.

My bad...I double-checked and I DID pay shipping. Though I don't remember the shipping options presented, I can tell you that I did choose the cheapest option and that happened to be UPS 2-day.

Hi - The video says black to orange, red to purple for tail light wiring.

I want to wire to the hitch wiring and saw the diagram posted a few pages back. Am I correct then to assume I’m wiring to the hitch white/orange and black wires? I’m a noob with wiring and wiring diagrams. If I’m wrong, please advise. I found this diagram and several references of folks wiring to the hitch, but no confirmation of the actual hitch wire colors being used.

I also paid shipping. $9.78
Also chose USPS
Also haven’t received them yet

Can’t really blame @ORACLElights for this. It’s simply the worst possible time to ship USPS with Covid and the Holidays but I didn’t think of it at the time.

Not sure if you can see the wires but yours back up lights will be the center # 7 of the round one and # 1 of the flat one. I personally have not looked yet. My lights came in just now. I think I may do the AUX switch instead. I will try to confirm for you when I take the bumper off if possible to see the wires.

Has anyone been able to do this install without removing the bumper? Seems like removing the bumper is a necessary step. There just is not enough clearance to try to remove that bolt let alone put a new one in.

Reminds me of back in the day when there was no tracking for for these types of things and I sent in enough proof of purchase UPCs for a cereal company to send me a “free” NFL team football which they advertised on the back of the cereal box. I was so excited because I mailed my UPCs in the Spring which meant I would get my NFL team football for the summer.

The day after sending my letter, I stood lookout on the front step every afternoon for weeks waiting for the delivery. Then I gave up and realized it was never going to arrive. I forgot all about it until one day in the late fall it finally arrived. Man, I loved that thing...

Fast forward 30 years and I’m now doing it with LED lights for the Jeep. Can’t wait for them to arrive!

Received mine today. Thanks Oracle.

Planning on tapping into the trailer wires and also to a switch. Spent a lot of nights at the beach this year and having extra lights when loading at night will be beneficial.

@klhjeep2018 I want to use the hitch wires as well when I install mine. Are yours working fine using this attachment point? Is there any reason why going all the way to the taillight housing would be preferable? The only thing I can think of might be that attaching inside the taillight would be waterproof?
