Good call on removing the carpet. I had a storm dump rain for 30+ minutes into my safari-mode JLU once, and a lot of water ended up moving from the cargo area into the 2nd row floor.
I'm interested in the wheels.... but I'm obviously not going to pick up, being in FL. I will pay for shipping and your trouble though. No need to send them to scrapyard. Let me know if interested in shipping.
Florida has the highest dealer fees... and a bunch of shitty dealers. Many states regulate these fees, but not Florida. That's why out of the last 5 vehicles I've purchased, 4 came from AL or GA dealers. The one I purchased in state had fees less than $400. I had a dealer laugh in my face when I...
I asked a similar question here recently... can I use a portable power station charging from the HV battery. I was set on trying out a Bluetti device, then I found the Jackery 1000 plus on sale for 699. The Jackery is supposed to charge in 7 hours from 12v... I haven't tested that yet. But it...
Good input, and I agree with you for the most part. But my perspective is just "driving a Jeep". I am not concerned about what I am doing for the planet, at least with my choice of vehicle. If I was, I'd be driving a bicycle, or a more efficient car, definitely not a Jeep. The Jeep is my fun...
I had sections of a hard top I bought cheap repainted in Sting Gray using the correct paint code. First attempt was way off, looked a little tan. Second attempt was still a shade off, but they wanted me to pay more for a third attempt. It was close enough for me at that point. I don't think it's...
Was the ICE on when you were driving? I drove mine home 400 miles from a dealership. I did smell a burning smell a bit then, and for another 100-200 miles or so. I was not concerned because I read here that it was fairly common. Could be stickers and other things from the factory burning...
I don't have ACC in my Jeep, because I've always hated it (and I'm a cheap bastard). My wife has had it for a few years, and I turn it off every time on a long trip. However, I forced myself to use it (and slow down) last summer on an 8 hour trip, and I swear I arrived with blood pressure at...
That's the one I want, I just can't get myself to spend that much money on it. There's an online store that discounts it to around $300, but I still can't pull the trigger when I have a working Coleman 2-burner and 17-inch Blackstone.
Thanks! Looking at your links, you're up to $353 in material. I assume you spent another couple hundred or more on a battery? So $550+ total, plus time to install? If I knew what I was doing, I could do the same. But I don't know what I'm doing, so I'd have to dive into learning it. The Jackery...
I've tested the shutoff time in run, it shuts off after 30 minutes. But if I start it, in e-save charge mode or not, maybe it would stay on until it runs out of fuel. I don't know, but I'd only do that in emergencies or if I was sure no one could just jump in and steal my Jeep.
Now that I...
Maybe this has been asked before, but I haven't seen it. And maybe it's a dumb question...
I'm pretty jealous of the 2024 power box capability. But would it be possible to use a Jackery or similar device to plug into my 22 4xe to basically use as an inverter/generator? I realize I'd have to...
Yep, my previous 2019 JLU was 3.6, wife's 2020 JLU was 2.0. The 3.6 was a dog, the 2.0 was more fun to drive except engine sound. The 2022 4xe blows both out of the water, in acceleration and fun (although the 4xe still has the shitty 2.0 sound).
Both the 2019 and 2020 had steering issues...
Acceleration is the least of the 4xe's problems. If you haven't driven one, maybe you should. The additional weight is never noticed with the way Jeep designed it.
Is it a comprised design? No doubt about it. It could be more efficient if designed from scratch. But Jeep did an excellent job in...
Just bump it. Worst case, the post gets deleted and you have to repost with the current rules. Just make a copy of your post just in case that happens.
Right, uses mobile data through the app. The reason I use the app vs radio is 1 - additional stations and 2 - I can see what's playing on all the stations so I know whether I want to select a channel. Like I said, the redesign made everything worse and less efficient, so I'm using the radio more...
Ah, I see what you're trying to do. The media button should still show the AA SiriusXM info when playing there, but there's no connection between Uconnect and AA.
No, you can use SiriusXM on AA, that's how I normally use it. At least until they redesigned the app recently and screwed it up royally. But the app has more stations available vs the Jeep radio.
I'm not certain what your problem is, but you need to sign into your account on the phone app. If...
