Does the v6 sound better than the 2.0t? Sure, but neither sound good. People want like the v6 sounds impressive? Compared to what? One sounds like a sewing machine, the other sounds like a Dyson? Not impressive or with factoring into which is better at all in my experience. Even at low elevation the 2.0t was peppier. At 10k feet is not even close. That being said, both are adequate and neither feels like it couldn't use more power. I miss the 2.0t up in the mountains. Down in the valley they are close enough. The extra 2-3mpg was nice though. We ended up with the 3.6L in our 2022xr after the 2019 2.0t was stolen as we were at the mercy of low inventory and the need for a replacement ASAP. That said, I bought a 2023 gladiator with the v6 too (huge incentives, couldn't go wrong). Both get the job done, one does it better. 63k miles on the 2019 without issues, 34k on the 2022 and 20k on the 2023 and they've been 100% reliable too.
