Jeep gonna drag luddites kicking and screaming into the future.

I will be surprised if they actually stick to this though.

I gotta say: @yokramer and @Remorseless were right about the turbo. It sounds like shit, but it’s peppy as fuck. I live at 7,000 feet and the difference between it and the Pentastar is startling.
The 4:10s help a bit but its a strong engine that Jeep agrees should be the standard one offered it seems.

Sometimes I swear the official power numbers are lower than what it's actually producing.

Oh come on. Haven't you read the endless threads where people swear the drop in power at altitude isn't noticeable in their naturally aspirated Jeeps?

I have a ‘19 Sahara with the V6 6MT and I have been pretty happy with it. It’s not a sports car, but I think it is a pretty good pairing.

fun and engaging to bump around town, tows easy behind my RV and my Wife and Dogs love it.

Hope they are using better head gaskets and hardware.

As someone who drove Pentastars at altitude every day for six years, and then made the switch, I can tell you those people are full of shit.

IF (heavy on the IF) true, that is a 180 degree from their former statement of the 3.6L is the "stalwart of the line" and will remain.
