    Base model is the way to go...... But, their ESS system is horrible. I would not buy again due to their current ESS... Hard pass.

    I have seen aluminum tie rod bend, if deflected enough. However, they tend to do well with minor bumps.

    Everything you buy can bend.......on tougher obstacles, your spotter should be helping you to avoid this type of damage.
