That’s one of the reasons I gave up on Jeep after several decades as a loyal customer.

It gets to a point when you look at what you get for your money, and how you are treated, and come to the realization that it just isn’t worth it.

There has been a lot of chatter over the amount Jeep is charging for items, acessories and even paint. Every item has gone up in pricing
What I dont understand is how you an chose a color like Hydro Blue on a 2023 Ram Rebel pickup which is the same offered on a Jeep
Why is it $595 to paint a Wrangler Hydro Blue with a black soft/hard top
If you were to choose a Ram Rebel 4 dr pickup with a painted roof and a 6 foot or longer bed only cost you $200??
If you opted for the cold weather package in a Wrangler some are as high as $1095. If you get it in a Charger or Challenger it`s $595-$695
I know every year they have to make/sell more but when is it going to hit a point that people can`t even afford a stock model? Just look what is going on with the Gladiator, 2022 units in large quanity still on the lots, 2023 units still on the lots and now 2024`s are soon to be arriving...

It’s all gone up exponentially cost wise and quality has taken a hit. Ordered a Rubi in 2017 for 38k that same thing roughly 5 years later cost 54k. I don’t see a 16k increase in value. Hell, I bought a sport S in 2015 which was basically a Willys and the same thing now is double the price.

Is a hustle. But we keep paying it. Jeep is the only solid axle off-road vehicle left

Yep. Somehow people are still figuring out a way to buy 'em.
Comically long automotive loan terms. My bank, for example, offers repayment periods of 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10 years.

Cap the maximum auto loan period at 36 months, and watch the recurrent vehicle price increases slow to a crawl as consumers are well and truly forced to reset their budgets.

People have been calling unnecessary, financially bloated options "must haves" for years and gladly paying for them.
Quite true. And, of all the online forums that I've participated in through the years, it is this one where the word "Need" has been used most promiscuously. It's those folks who need to look in the mirror when they complain about the Wrangler's ever-increasing sticker prices.

It’s called greed. Pure and simple. They take a highly sought after, desirable vehicle like the Jeep, and they try to play the “what’s the most we can possibly charge for this option without losing too many sales” game. ?‍♂
We live in a society with a capitalist, consumer based economy. This is called “supply and demand”. Demand goes up, and so does price.

Next time there is a global pandemic, help your local dealer out with the oversupply problem. Black was lowest on my list of colors I wanted. But if it bothered me enough, I could deal with it down the line.

Anybody who purchased in spring of '20 may have made similar compromises. It was a feeding frenzy when I bought, and the dealer checked nearby dealers for two door six speed manual Wranglers. I didn't even want a soft top, so I baked in the hard top purchase.

Some bean counters did an analysis, and determined that jeep buyers will be willing to pay $600 for the color of their choice, while Ram Rebel buyers would only be willing to pay $200 for the color of their choice. It really is as simple as that.

Prices are a direct reflection of what buyers are willing to pay. These companies spend millions of dollars to do studies to find out which buyers of which products are willing to pay how much extra money for which upgrades. And then that's what they charge.

The greed assessment comes up often. Let's be perfectly clear: Jeep is, and should be, working for their shareholders. In this case, the customers remain loyal (though complaining) AND the shareholders get superior returns on their investment. We all say that we love America. Well...welcome to capitalism. If the purchasers get fed up and profits begin to dimish, Jeep will reassess their business model. It's just like every other company on the face of the earth.

All of that said, the customers-will-pay-anything can abruptly come to the end - look at Harley-Davidson. In the mid-90s I paid full-boat retail for a Fatboy, and waited a year to get it. Now they are begging for customers.

Different vehicles, diff prices but I get what yr saying but as long as people keep buying the overpriced crap they will keep going up. Jeep especially wrangler knows their die usrds or even new jacks will pay whatever they charge to have the latest and greates, what gets me are the ridiculous packages they put together to ge tones option u have to buy 5 others at a high mark up.

Would be nice if Jeep offered a setup like this, or super supportave seats like in the Ranger Raptor

I was just checking out the Ford Raptor Ranger that has been available overseas for some time now, check out the front seats and se if you think they wouild hold you in place
Speaking of seats also check out Toyota Tacoma TRD seats

YES Adjustable Suspension seats!!!!

https://www.motortrend.com/news/2024-toyota-tacoma-trd-pro-isodynamic-performance-
seat/

This would be a $1200 option on a wrangler, maybe more..
