Sounds like you have it figured out. With that much into a build it would be senseless to just let it go. I wish you many happy miles of trails with the new motor, I too enjoy going out with my older brother and exploring either by Jeep or motorcycle. I wonder if you just ended up with a bad...
I`m an old guy in NJ that throws bad parts as far as in can lol
Good idea on saving what you can off the old motor, may help you or another Jeeper out in the future. Asix cylinder block would make a nice lawn ornament with flowers out of each hole and some herb`s in the lifter valley
Just do what works best for you. Of course we all want to know that happened to your motor but that doesn't mean to fix it and have the same or different issue down the road.
Please correct me if I`m wrong, your going to replace the motor in your Jeep and you're getting another Jeep to replace...
I’m really sorry to hear that this happened to you. Did you pull the spark plugs to get an idea of which cylinder or cylinders are the problem? Oil look like a milkshake?
Any oil in the antifreeze?
I`d like to pull the plugs, see which are nasty and pump a little air into the or those cylinders...
Maybe put the VIN up for members to see, then they may be able to provide you with more information. Even possibly contact some of the Jeep dealers offering warranty's on this site to see what they have to say
Here is a interesting one for sale and I can say I have never seen one in person. Maybe some of the folks that served our country have seen it?

I understand that for some it is taking a chance and for those who are mechanically inclined it might be a great deal. You can inspect it and talk to them over the phone and try to get more information about it. The last thing I would worry about is it having drugs hidden inside it, if a dog...
I figured I would put my 2 cents in on this one.
My 2021 392XR does not have the second battery and I have received the same message on the instrument cluster. So I proceeded to change the main battery which is an H7 with a DIEHARD H7 AGM and also brought the Jeep to my local dealer to get the...
Check out Apple towing, you will see vehicles that are 100% complete and were seized for various reasons, and you will also see where you have to have a salvage license to purchase a vehicle. Those are the ones torn apart by Customs Border Protection. They have a Ferrari Spyder up for sale too...
I frequent the government auctions just to see whats available and found this up for bid in FL
I am not sure where to post this but it might turn out to be a great deal for someone, and the auction is 100% legit, check out some of the othe auctions they have posted...
You were just supposed to drill untill the head of the screw popped off not all the way through, I may have not ben clear. No harm using another hold down screw as long as it sits below the face of the rotor.
I didn`t know that you were having trouble with the hold down bolts. Drill the heads offwith a 3/8 drill bit and like mentioned above you will be able to grab the remaining leafover stud with vicegrips and it shoud come out, maybe presoak it and possible heat may be needed too
You can do it that way but it`s not necessary to spin it. the main thing is to get the heat evenly distrubritated around the rotor maybe 1 inch away from the axle. Mapp gas burns much hotter, it you are using a regular propane tourch turn it all the way up and just keep going in circles around...
Did you use Mapp gas? it burns a lot hotter and make sure that you only heat the rotor and not the axle or else the will both expand. Try spraying it with a penatrating oil and then heating the rotor in a circular motion aeay from where the axle protrudes. Do it for a few minutes and then hit...
Top then bottom, left then right. Repeat until your forearms cramp up! lol
Hopefully it won`t be that bad, just clean the axle up really well and apply never seize
