Yet another case of we got the consumer by the ball sac. Not much to be done about it. Congress could help, but they can't seem to find a single brain between the 541 of them in either chamber. (Not being political! - throwing every last one of them under the Jeep!). Off my soap box.
ESS will function even if you remove the AUX battery and take out fuse 42. It will just do so using the main battery. Most other vehicles on the road today use ESS and just the main battery. JEEP seems to have the ESS wrapped in to the system so it is difficult to isolate just ESS.
Been running without the AuX battery for 2 years. No issues. I did use jscan to aid in the process but even that has you disconnecting a hood switch which also takes out remote start. I did not care. I have lived more years without remote start than ever having it. Besides the Jeep heats up...
This is weird. 32 degree down slope on Fins and Things and the brake held me just fine and I was in 4lo 1st gear manual mode. I agree with others you got an issue with your brake system.
It appears you have the correct items labeled. So pull and disconnect. BTW this just takes the AUX out of play. The ESS will still function with the main battery if you don't push the button on the dash everytime or use jscan or another device to stop the function.
If you don't slide it forward how do you safely get in the back seat? If the top is off they can climb the tire and jump in without ever touching the front seat.
Great question. I am watching this post. Does it matter what brand of tire? I have heard some like Nitto have a shorter life span than some others, so does that matter? If tires are getting replaced at 40ish K then is worth rotating it in? Of course then then the spare never gets used. What...
It will get easier the more you shift it. You do have to use some force and the angle of the shifter is not the best. 2h to 4h you can shift back and forth any speed under 50mph. Be sure to be in Neutral and coasting about 2-3mph for 4H to 4L.
