Looking for some mounting options inside/outside for a pair of Maxtrax recovery boards. Please share including any DIY builds.

Mine fit in their bag strapped to the rear seat bottywjen it’s folded up .

That should have said: Mine fit in their bag strapped to the rear seat bottom when it’s folded up .

It’s less obvious in the black bag in the back when the softtop is on and the seat is folded. The folded rear seat also hides the recovery gear stored in the rear seat footwells.

Not on a 2-door but I suppose that wouldn't matter for this location. Pretty happy how my aluminum DIY mount turned out.

I just bought two Maxtrax MKII boards because of Black Friday deal. Settled on these after watching lots of comparison videos. I like the Rotopax mounting system and still might go that way if I decide to pony up for fuel/water containers. Was hoping to find a cheaper/lighter weight system.

I don't want to block the rear cam. I kinda like this one but seems pretty pricey for what it is and you still need to pop for the mounting pins which are not included. The pro is easy to mount only when you want it. The con it seems easy to steal.

What I do is 175 LB Zip Ties and zip-tie them to that rotopax strap so they sit on top and do not block the camera.

I just received mine and this is exactly where they are going to go. However, it's not clear in the picture how many boards are in there. I have already tried out putting two stacked boards in and it fits without touching the hard top.

I recently obtained a MaxTrax carrying bag (very pricey but well made). Two MaxTrax in the bag stores perfectly between the roll bars and the hard top roof. It is just snug enough to stay in place without other attachment.

I just picked up two MaxTrax boards, no bag yet but they didn’t seem to want to fit in the back of my 2dr as you show. Will have to try again.

Stacked and put in "upside down?" Hm. Is the Rubicon that much different in the fit of the hard top? and is your hard top the factory 3-piece?
