Hm, not sure. I pair my phone to the Jeep with Bluetooth, but I guess that's not CarPlay. I do have CarPlay in my Mini, and I'd say it's marginally nicer than what I have in the Jeep. But I only do two things with my phone while in the car: Listen to something or pull up a map.
I admit to driving my Jeep during the week sometimes just to cheer myself up, but I bought it to get me to places I couldn't get with a car and that is what I do with it.
I also use powdered graphite, but my recent internet search shows that locksmiths might prefer a teflon-based lubricant as it doesn't gunk up over time.
Fifty mA is barely more than your typical breadboard LED pulls. Your battery is likely in the 50 Ah range so this doesn't look like an issue. On the other hand, I am not an electrical engineer and I struggled mightily with calculus.
A bigger concern might be that you don't have a cutoff switch...
I think this is the default mode of human beings. Something gets postulated because it sounds logical and then it starts to be taken as fact. What is almost always missing is some hard data to support the original idea. I am always trying to be on guard against this in myself, not always...
Dang, that's terrific. This is exactly what I wanted to do in 2021, but at that time everything used was going for brand new prices. So I ordered one from the factory. Love the 2-door!
I have them and love them. It takes seconds to disconnect and it takes seconds plus another 3 seconds to connect. And when it's this easy you are more likely to do it.
Make sure you tighten down the collars per their spec. I must have missed on my drive side link, because it tends to rotate a...
Ouch. Here is a link with various methods to try, but your scratch looks pretty deep. I don't know exactly how Jeep touchscreens are built, but I assume they are resistive and not capacitive. That likely means there is a very thin layer on top that is not glass, and therefore trickier to deal...
It works with a hard top as well on the 2-door. I have two MaxTrax in a MaxTrax bag and they wedge in between the roof and the roll bars perfectly. They are so out of the way I forget I even have them.
The image quality is not great, but you get the...picture.
I think it's a mistake to think of a car as an investment. Except for rare instances, it is a consumable. Investments return money. Cars are basically like a dishwasher or refrigerator.
