Is there an option to remove the rear seat and replace with a single seat? This should be an option I think.

yeah, single seat only would allow more storage like a plugged in cooler etc.60/40 split seat or single seat option ... or you know like 15 more inches in the back...
There's a chance you could take it out and replace it with a single bucket seat, I think vendors like Katzskin do this?Is there an option to remove the rear seat and replace with a single seat? This should be an option I think.

I wonder if it's possible, just for shits and giggles, to have the rear seat face rearward. Any thoughts? It's pretty easy to fold (not tumble) the rear seat. It doesn't latch, but you can use the attached straps to hold the seat in the fold down position. Just fold it, don't let it tumble, and then strap to the d-ring.

I'm sure that that would somehow be illegal, not to mention probably not a good idea --- an emergency hard braking could launch your passenger(s) backward, right through the tailgate window.I wonder if it's possible, just for shits and giggles, to have the rear seat face rearward. Any thoughts?
so the inlaws sit in the back?I'm sure that that would somehow be illegal, not to mention probably not a good idea --- an emergency hard braking could launch your passenger(s) backward, right through the tailgate window.
