Anyone have experience getting un-stuck using the MaxTrax Lites? It seems like the 2 door Wrangler is on border of their recommended vehicle for the Lites vs. the MKII's, but the weight/price seems really nice. My primary use case would be emergency recovery in the southwestern sand environments (arizona, utah, etc.), and mostly for a couple trips max per year. Running BFG KO2 35's.

Thanks

I have a 2dr and MKII’s. I don’t think you should equate the effectiveness of the Lites to a 2dr. I have limited experience with them (not really needed but have experimented with them). I don’t think I would want a shorter board. Having a longer traction path along with more surface area to keep it from sinking into a hole is worth the longer board IMO. Do you really want to skimp in a stuck situation?

It's all a balance, I suppose (money, weight, effectiveness, etc.)... their videos all show smaller 4dr pickup trucks, Jimmys, etc. using them; the U.S. video even shows a Tacoma. I feel like a 2dr Jeep is in that same category, but perhaps not.

To me… it isn’t a matter of wheelbase. Stuck is stuck… the ground is the obstacle.
