Oh great. They forgot to add oil back in
Would've thrown an oil light the day of, not weeks later.

Just check the damn oil OP, it isn't hard. Getting a low oil pressure light and not immediately checking the oil level is bonkers to me as a fellow Jeep owner.

Yeah he would rather come on the internet join a forum and ask us about his low oil light instead of just popping the hood pulling the dipstick and checking the oil level mind blowing.

I did check the oil right away and the level was fine which is why I asked if anyone had it light up with another reason.

You had just replied in post #24 that there was no indication of oil in the engine. You can surely understand the confusion, right?

What is the displayed value of oil pressure?

The problem is the oil vapor separator. Of course not covered under extended warranty.

I cannot even imagine an extended warranty that didn't cover the drivetrain. The engine is part of the drivetrain. It is probably the single most warrantied part of all vehicles. The oil system is part of the engine. Unless your extended warranty specifically excludes all external parts, I would challenge this.

If you have a friend in the legal profession, I'd ask for a second opinion. Dealers try this shady stuff all the time to avoid dealing with warranty companies and their oversight, then charge for pretty much anything they want.

For your reference, there is no part formally named a "vapor separator". It is a PCV valve and is a ~$38 part and literally unlocks and rotates out by hand. It is located at the rear of the passenger side valve cover.
