No a low oil and low pressure light is not normal and something that just happens. Have you noticed oil under the jeep since the last oil change? Check the oil level if you feel comfortable doing so if not have someone check it for you, add if it needs it and take it in somewhere to look for a leak or other issue.

That absolutely does not happen! Those are warning lights for a reason.

The most likely scenario is someone messed up the oil change, either by not putting enough oil in, failing to fully tighten the oil filter or drain plug and thus causing a leak. You should absolutely not drive with a low pressure oil light as by the time it comes on the engine may already be damaged.

I would immediately stop driving and have it towed to a repair shop other than the one that changed the oil.

Check your oil level immediately. Be sure to do it either with a completely cold engine or a warm engine after you let it sit 5 minutes after turning it off. If you turn it on and off and immediately check the level it will give you a false reading.

Did you forget to add oil after you drained the old oil out?

Tighten the oil filter canister before you take it in. I think the torque spec for the 3.6 is around 18 Ft Lbs (25nm).
I had an issue with mine after a dealer oil change and that was the problem.

As long as the oil filter cap is screwed in to where the flange contacts the housing, tightening/torquing it further will not make the o-ring seal better. This is because the o-ring seals in the bore of the housing, not the flange.

Step 1 is to check the oil level. Step 2 is to verify the specific code that is causing the check engine light.
Is the engine making any weird noises?
Are there any oil leaks under the vehicle?
