I'll second the San Raphael Swell area in Green River. It won't take you far off your route and will take you through some very unique terrain. Check out the Black Dragon trail, and easy, no rock crawling ride with petroglyphs not far off of I-70. There will be mud and snow this time of year...
I've been running them for about three years. Holding up well even with some "light" off-roading. The only thing I don't like is that the valve stems protrude a bit more than I'd like. Some folks don't like the look of the center caps and replace them, but I'm okay with them as is.
The Club is open to all Mesquite area residents with a Jeep. Other capable 4x4, street-legal, vehicles of any make or model are also welcome.

A couple guys in our club wanted just one more ride and did it in the rain a few weeks ago. Obviously, both are very experienced drivers and the guy in the lead Jeep has run Hell's Revenge over a hundred times. Here is the video.
If it were me, I'd do it all at once. Not likely that you will mess them up re-installing, but you are probably going to want to get an alignment after putting in the steering components, then you might need to do it again after the knuckles and ball joints. Just my opinion.
I have those wheels and like them okay. There shouldn't be any reason you can't switch out the center caps with flatter ones of the same size. They are plastic and snap in. This listing on Amazon has the dimensions and a photo. It's a good idea as I've broken a few of those caps. At least...
I did not intend my comment to be a slight at the parks. Having lived in the east, I know the difficulty of finding challenging places to ride. Kudos to you and your club for supporting the park and getting new trails added, and hope you guys will keep up the good work.
I'm fortunate to live...
Odd that the only new ones added out of all that have been submitted are in these pay-to-play parks. Wonder if there's a little bakshish involved? :lipssealed:
I installed Metalcloak's sector shaft brace and it really seemed to stiffen up the steering. Steering wheel has a lot less shake and wobble when hitting potholes. Takes some of the stress off the drag link and pitman arm and transfers it to the frame.
Yeah, I always miss out on the Metalcloak giveaways and photos of the month also because I don't use the "social media" sites either. As a former IT guy, they frighten me.:) But I'll post here and hope it counts. https://metalcloak.com/jl-wrangler-molded-led-taillight-kit.html...
Why are you wanting to re-gear a diesel? Gasser have to re-gear, but you have twice the torque. I run 37's and am pushing 6100 lbs with stock 373 gearing in my diesel and can run 80 mph in 8th gear consistently. I also off-road pretty hard with no issue. Are you not seeing the same...
I'll add my thank you to @chevymitchell for doing the write-up. My axle locker light came on after a few particularly hard bounces on the trail. Went out the next day, probably after most of the oil drained out of the sensor. Jeep is still under warranty, but a call to the service department...
If your spare fits on the carrier you have now, all you need to get is longer rubber stops that will extend to the tire. Amazon has them. Or you can do what I did-- a couple of short pieces of 3/4 PVC pipe with end caps siliconed into the existing stops. Painted black they look fine and work...
The Metalcloak kit came with everything- got their driveshaft and shocks, but replaced the shocks with Fox from Accutune last year just to have a lot better ride on the desert trails. Other steering components did not need changed with the lift. What I added (knuckles, ball joints, drag link...
I have been running 37's on my diesel for about two years without issue. I can cruise at interstate speeds (80 on I-70) in 8th gear, and the rock-climbing performance is amazing. I did add a Bank's Pedal Monster to make up for some of the acceleration lag, but I would have done that even with...
I have all the suspension take-offs from my 2021 JLURD if you're interested. Everything that was replaced with the MC 3.5 Gamechanger lift, so only the front driveshaft. I live in Mesquite, NV, about an hour and a half from LV.
I helped a friend replace the AUX battery who had the same error as you: start/stop not available. The problem was the lithium battery, but the error did not clear when we replaced the battery. He took it to the dealer who cleared the code.
I've been extremely happy with my ecoDiesel. Even with all the mods (MC 3.5 lift, 37's, full skids, bumpers, winch, etc.) and vehicle weight now over 6100 lbs., I'm still getting over 21 mpg (got 27-28 stock). I hit 8th gear all the time, plenty of top end and climbing torque with no need to...
