Well I got the lift installed. Started at 7 this morning and had everything cleaned up and picked up at 5. It wasn't really that hard except the torquing of everything. The torque isn't that much except the LCA's but I am a pretty small guy and trying to torque stuff inside the fender was the only sucky part. Plus the Florida heat is just killer and wipes you out after about 6 or 7 hours, much less 10hrs.

Anyway, couple issues, the drivers side shock extension bracket would not fit. Once the bottom bolt was tight so that it was flush, the other bolt holes for the bolt with the crush Spacer weren't even close. I tried everything, flipping it, the other bracket, same thing. The shock was the last thing torqued so everything else was in and torqued. Crap. So I set the bracket up correctly, then drilled my own hole. I couldn't come with any other solution.

When I got the passenger side ready to drill another hole, expecting to, it fit perfectly, what the! I will shoot a pic. Tomorrow. I believe it is fine and shouldn't have any issues.

The next issue is that the 4 bolts that go threw the bottom of the shock extensions are too short. There is lock nuts that go on and there like 2 threads short from even making it to the end of the nut. This I don't like. I was always taught 2 threads protruding out of the nut on lock nuts in order for the locking feature of the nut to work. So, tomorrow I will get 4 new longer bolts and replace them. I was to whooped to center the steering wheel, do that tomorrow also. As soon as I figure out exactly what part it is I have to adjust lol.

All this done I do like the look, it looks much better lifted the 2 inches even with the skinny 32" M/T tires I still like it better than it was.

I drove it up to highway speeds and it seems that nothing has changed ride wise, so this is good, and no death wobble or anything.

I do have a question though. Besides, and actual full lift and or wider tires is there a way to reduce the roll a little? I knew it was going to do this because I changed the center of gravity higher. Would a better track bar help? It's not horrible, but it is noticable.

Did you raise the rear track bar ? If not, get a relocation bracket, it will raise the track bar, which will center rear axle, and help with roll a little, don’t expect it to help a lot, but it will help……it is pretty brutal out today……?

I did not raise the rear track bar. I have read about it and others have said it did tighten things up and make the jeep better especially at higher speeds.

Just needed a experts opinion. Lol. Any suggestions? At this point not rulling any MFG out RK, MC, whichever I can afford with decent reviews.

I will always recommend RK, from personal experience, but to honest, any of them will work. If you plan on running a MC diff skid then RK bracket won’t work as they both use a U bolt in the same location.

Last time I looked at rear track bar brackets there were none for a 2” lift. In my opinion, add front and rear adjustable track bars and forget about a bracket. At 2 inches of lift, a relocation bracket will bring negligible results.

I had a JLUR with 2” Rancho lift, and added their front and rear adjustable track bars. Handling was not an issue.

Thank you both. Roky I know you are partial to RK and from what I have learned with good reason. And you have mentioned to me that the JL track bar is a POS which I would agree. My friend with his 2018 JL has 59K on his and the front track bar is trash, it makes noise when he drives and you can move it by hand, hence why I asked about the track bar.

Mikester86, I have read the same thing about putting better track bars on and it helping with just tighten things up and helping the handling. Now that you mentioned it I also don't remember seeing a relocation bracket for a 2" lift.

I will get back into my research. I needed opinions from the more experienced, so thank you both.

No problem, as I mentioned before, the improvements with the bracket or the adjustable TB will be slight. The higher the lift the more benefit of the raised TB. You will get used to the new feeling pretty quick, and you won’t notice it as much as you do now…..

Lol, agreed Roky, I was thinking the same thing on the test ride that I will get used to the little additional roll.

I will look into it more, and track bars etc. May come later.

Another question, I see Steinjager stuff a lot and it's expensive. But no one on here talks about their stuff, can't recall anyone even mentioning their stuff. It it any good?

Or they just think it is, hence their prices.

In my experience, beefier after market track bars will tighten things up. Less body roll. My JLUR handled pretty damn good for a 2” lift and 35’s. I also used Rancho’s geometry correction brackets. Great product and I had no issues off road. Best of luck to you. Don’t overthink it. ?

I have no first hand experience with them , but they use poly bushings, which are not ideal for track bars and control arms…… there’s a lot of these kind of reviews out there……

SteinJager Is Trash
YES, unfortunately I do. DO NOT BUY STEINJAGER ! I ran these for 3 months, the joints completely ground to nothing. The bushings are peeling apart. The front upper control arm joints are cracked on both sides. I have done almost no off-roading. I made a YouTube channel about how they are Dangerous, and garbage , they have no warranty , they are overpriced. Don't believe me, check out my channel just look up Steinjager. Or type in Steinjager is Trash.

Steinjager does not stand behind there products, I have been in contact with them for months. They have done nothing . They don't care about their defective products and they will not assist you .

Ace engineering and fab also got bought out by steinjager I believe and immediately prices raised by 100-150%. I wouldn’t ever recommend my ace front bumper or sliders with their pricing now.

Yeah, I have no problem spending money on quality parts, but with that much of an increase the juice just isn’t worth the squeeze for me……..
