Over landing is the end goal. Right now it’s a daily driver/Weekend beach buggy. I really don’t intend to increase the weight a ton, maybe steel bumpers that’s it. My lean is towards the light duty OME BP-51 but I don’t know enough about suspensions at this point to invest $3500 in a product
I was on the border of getting the MC and the Synergy and went with Synergy and added Fox shocks. Ride has been much improved over stock. Decided against the MC since I talked to them and it was netting more than 2.5” on most I was told as they’re designed for Handling the additional weight of skids, bumpers etc. Synergy was a 2” lift netting 2” pretty much. I do sag a little when loaded up with gear and RTT. But I am prob only one that notices that even.

With all your new info and to simplify my response I will recommend a lift and be done.
AEV's 2.5 lift kit was designed based on Mopars but with overlanding in mind. Talk to them and you will be a happy overlander. Cheers
The AEV is a solid lift for sure. I ran that on my JK and it was improved over stock and sat a tad higher in rear unloaded. Sounds like it would be a good option for OP.

Howdy folks, I just picked up a 2018 Rubicon JLU. As does every basic Jeep boi, I plan on lifting her a bit and throwing some 35s on there. I don't want to go so crazy as to lift it high enough to require mods/upgrades beyond the lift kit and tires. My question is, what 2-3" lift kits out there will give me that little bit of extra height without downgrading the quality of the suspension from the stock Rubi one? Has anyone tried the one MOPAR makes, and with what results?
If you choose the Mopar lift, then read this……

As others have said you might need to add a few more parts to get the most out of it…….

Oh…. My recommendation is Rock Krawler.
Best of luck with your build.

Yeah good point, besides maybe throwing on steel bumpers and a winch I don’t intend to drastically increase my weight. As for the Dynatracs how do they compare in ride/performance quality to the stock rubicon suspension?
I’m sure others can speak of how it compares to the Rubicon suspension. Coming from the Sport Suspension It was a way better on road ride. Less head bobble and just overall more comfortable. My wife likes it way better than the stock Sport suspension. Better on road ride is what got my wife on board with doing a lift. Down side of the Dynatrac is I don’t think it is the best lift if you are going to have it loaded down all the time.

If I end up doing bumpers and a winch I will probably go aluminum. I had 300lbs of bricks in the back of my Jeep and it sagged about 3/8” with the Dynatrac. Nothing is perfect but it’s what works best for me.

I think most peoples issue with the Mopar lift is for price you need to add those additional be parts to get it to be a complete setup.
Not sure of the prices now but in early 2020 I bought the mopar lift, rk perches, rk front track bar, and rk rear track bar relocation bracket for $1400.

Rock Krawler or Metalcloak. Definitely skip the Mopar lift and Teraflex. AEV is really overpriced for what it is. Dynatrac is solid but still missing some parts.
