They're out there, kinetic recovery ropes. Love 'em or hate 'em I'm getting one, but which one? Made in China, made in the USA, made in Bubba's backyard, $65, $220, red, yellow, black, or grey, too much research. I'm looking for 25 honest straight forward replys that are simply the name of the rope you own and/or use. I want to compile the results to see which manufacturer is the most popular... Thanks!
GearAmerica made in USA.

Purely for amusement, I actually looked up Samson ropes, since I’d never heard of them. Then I looked all around my garage, and it turns out I don’t actually own a tugboat after all. So I don’t need any 2” rope that can pull 693,000 lbs.

Still, I was intrigued to see the phrase “minimum bend diameter” in that table. We don’t generally consider that factor here in Jeep-land. Maybe we should?
LOL. Maybe if Jeeps continue to get heavier.

I was thinking of this, which is what the fancy kinetic ropes are (double braided nylon). They're just rebranding dock lines. https://www.samsonrope.com/commercial-fishing/super-strong

Since I’m mostly solo, I’ve not needed to use my kinetic rope, only the winch and a soft shackle so far so no first hand experience with the rope.

I was new to all this and bought a red Bubba Rope. I used their guide based on weight but don’t recall the diameter off hand.

That said, watching Matt’s Off-road Recovery for a while, Yankum made a great impression on the show. I’ve since called them about going totally metal free and using a soft shackle on the metal free eye of my winch rope. They said I’d be fine using my 3/8 shackles on my 3/8 line. That said, I stepped up the soft shackle diameter to 3/4 to appease my brain with the radius thing. lol
Point being, the lady was extremely helpful. That conversation bled over from a thread here on the topic. I bought the 3/4 shackle from them feeling I should since she helped me and gave professional peace of mind.

Bubba Rope and Yankum are US made and have certified ratings.

I’ve had Olympus Kinetic ropes in 3/4” and 7/8” also their winch lines and soft shackles for 15 years with zero issues but don’t know who sells them now.

I don't use one but maybe this comparison test will help you decide.

You'll only need it that one time you decide to leave it at home. Or maybe that's just my experience.

Rhino USA (just because it was reasonable and saw good tests/reviews on YouTube etc.)

No issues the few times I’ve used it.

If I buy another one now, it will be ARB
