  1. Question on Driving - Wind & Mountains

Good info, thanks. Nice pictures. Yes, love western WA for the nature, but avoid a mail box there due to politics.
  2. Question on Driving - Wind & Mountains

He belongs to ex-wife #2. She was PCS's OCONUS for two years and I dog sat during that time. He was a paper bearing Yorkie with a cool personality. I kept an eye on him, and he either slept in the Jeep or with me (weather depending). When wondering out and about when remote camping, I would...
  3. Question on Driving - Wind & Mountains

It did influence me, but I'd not be the first guy who made a 'poor' decision on a woman or potential woman! The one I ended up finding is supportive of what ever I decide. Kinda like her.
  4. Transfer case drain and fill

I just did my first transfer case fluid change at 39,000 miles, along with everything else including brake fluid flush. I had to drop my MORE steel skid plate. I use the AMSOIL squeeze sacks for filling some things, in this instance I bought a 1 gallon jug of Signature ATF and used my ATF hand...
  5. Failed attempt to disable aux battery

Do not mess with fuses. Remove main battery, remove aux battery, label terminals as they look very similar. Reinstall aux battery lid box, reinstall main battery, bold aux terminals to main battery terminal. 38,000 miles doing this and zero issues.
  6. Question on Driving - Wind & Mountains

I don't have pictures of myself driving up mountain grades, but I wanted to show how I've used my Jeeps. Also, most people love pictures :). I don't know a dealer that will let me hook up a trailer and drive it over an hour one way to see how the 2.0L does, regardless of tire size, so I am...
  7. Any 4-dr JL owners switch to a 2-dr JL and…

Unsure why the JK 3.6L 6spd with 4.10s towed more than a JL 3.6L with 4.88s and 6spd. My guess is their POS clutch fix?
  8. Question on Driving - Wind & Mountains

Good Evening, Currently own a 2023 JLURD that I bought new. Pictures below. Winch, lights, steel MORE skids, and all the inside survival zombie gear I always have. Traded in my high mileage 2018 JKRR 6spd. I have lots of posts here, including a build thread I started on my JL that no one...
  9. Any 4-dr JL owners switch to a 2-dr JL and…

I am looking at the same thing....how I found this thread.
  10. Fuel Gauge Accuracy?

Unsure. I had a 2018 JK and now this 2023 JL. If there is a setting to alter the MPG readout, I am not sure how to do it.
  11. You have to change fuel filter every oil change(10k miles) now.

Yup. I drive 45 miles, soon to be 150 miles, to a small town dealer. Tons of ag there and lots of Cummins. Diesel techs there have done many and several JLs and JTs already. I intentionally waited on scheduling mine for that reason. Just like with government...don't be one of the first :).
  12. Anyone Else Have Timing Cover Leak-UPDATED

Yes. Had the cover replaced. Kind of a big job. Includes fuel lines and such. Leak came back. Tech thought it was the plate below the block, above the 2 pc oil pan. Suggested I leave it be unless I start seeing a puddle. Said odds of bigger problems if they take it down to that level with...
  13. Z96 High Pressure Fuel Pump Recall Parts

My parts are in. I do it next Friday.
  14. Arizona EcoDiesel oil filters X 2

Not sure if these sold to the poster above, but I'd pay $50 shipped to 99336 if you are looking to sell.
  15. Pennsylvania MOPAR 7 Inch Off-road Light Kit

How many miles were they mounted on the JL for? Did you opt for a different light design or choose no lights at all? I strongly considered these but opted for a different style. However, I have another vehicle these could work on.
  16. EcoDiesel (JLUR Farout) Project Presentation (Hold the applause)

I would post pictures of mine, but not what you have. I had a brass recessed plug. Heater just slid inside the brass plug and clipped. Then the cord went on the end.
  17. EcoDiesel (JLUR Farout) Project Presentation (Hold the applause)

First fix was timing chain cover. Now the tech thinks it is the bed plate, which holds the crank shaft from what he says.
  18. Virginia Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement with Mopar Oversized Tire Kit

What did you go with in place of that? I would buy but am in WA...so no shipping makes it hard.
  19. Colorado Goose Gear stealth sleep / seat delete - Jeep JLU - $1,000

Darn, I have the Ecodiesel with the Alpine system.
