Can somebody help me? I'm sure it's user error. I have a Sport Unlimited with the S package and Tech package. My window sticker says the Keyless Enter N Go feature is standard equipment. However, when I walk up to my Jeep with the fob in my pocket and grab the handle, it will not unlock the Jeep. Also, I do not have a button on the handle to push to lock the Jeep either.

What's up with this??
You have standard keyless. The upgrade is the proximatey/passive version that includes the touch to unlock feature.

Since you don’t have the button on the handle. That means yor vehicle is not equipped with proximity entry. that is an option on all models as it doesn’t come standard on any pckges.
The keyless entry mention is just the fob remote entry not the proximity entry.
Hope that helps.

Well that's retarded. The window sticker says "Keyless Enter N Go" which is exactly what they called it on my Challenger. Having to dig out the key fob to unlock the doors makes the push button start totally worthless.

Jeep needs to rename this feature because it's clearly NOT keyless enter and go.

Do you have to put your key in the door, turn it to unlock it, then get in? No? Then it's keyless entry...
Keyless entry has been around for decades, and is what you describe.

"Keyless Enter N Go" is a Chrysler thing that's relatively new and doesn't require you to use the key fob, hence the name "enter n go".

So you're talking apples while I'm talking oranges.

The owners manual also has this error, as well as the window sticker. I'll be contacting Jeep today about this so that others aren't confused in the future while shopping JLs.

The build sheet for your Sport S should include Remote Keyless Entry - Package GXM, which is standard on the S, but Remote Proximity Keyless Entry - Package GXD only becomes available on the Sahara and Rubicon. "Keyless Go" is another term they use - Package GX4, which is essentially the push-button start on all models.

If you believe Jeep may have a error in their stickers though. I put a link below to a Window Sticker for a Sport S. It says Standard Equipment, unless replaced by Optional... Then in optional is says Remote Keyless Entry...

No, I'm talking Keyless Entry and Remote Proximity, where you are talking Keyless Entry which is what you THOUGHT was the equivalent of Keyless Enter N Go/Passive Entry on another vehicle. A little research before buyers drop money goes a long way.

I go to McDonalds and ask for a #5 and expect it to be a cheeseburger and it's now nuggets isn't McDonalds fault if I didn't look at what I was ordering.

I agree that's very stupid of jeep and dealers.
I kept wondering how to get Keyless Enter n Go working and then realized I dont even have that in my JL.
Stupid jeep window sticker clearly mentioned it as a feature.

OK, there's some mixed signals here, so they say a picture is worth a thousand words.

The "Keyless Enter-N-Go" feature used by FCA (and Chrysler before Fiat came along) is a feature that allows the owner to leave the key fob in their pocket or purse. You can get into the vehicle and start the vehicle without fumbling for the keys.

The Wrangler JL lists this feature on the window sticker...but it does NOT work like Keyless Enter-N-Go works on other FCA products. This is why it is so confusing. Jeep needs to revise the window stickers on JLs so that they use a different term...because really all the JL has is keyless entry which has been around for decades.

If you're coming from other Chrysler vehicles, you need to be made aware of this. That's all I'm saying.

If you go to McD's and ask for a "Cheeseburger" by name and they hand you nuggets, would you be upset? THAT is what I'm talking about. You are talking about something opposite.

Unfortunately, I think the Standard Equipment feature is "replaced" by the Optional Equipment feature, which is where this whole story just sucks!

I got a new Grand Cherokee as a loner from the dealer yesterday (they had to replace a piece of dash trim on the JL that was damaged upon delivery). The proximity entry feature on the GC worked EVERY time with zero delay as I approached the vehicle. Is it possible the waterproofing of the JL key fob is causing interference?

Do you have remote start and use it frequently? This has been the common theme I have seen in regards to this issue. If you have it and are using it, stop using it and see if the response is better.
