Generic photo yes, but it is specific to the JL. The ad has this comment...
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: This sunshade is for the Wrangler with the JL Body Style. The rearview mirror in a Wrangler JL attaches to the molding above the windshield.
It is also overpriced but that's the perk for being one of the first to market. Similar style sunshades are only 8 to 12 dollars.

I just ordered my UVS100 covercraft shade and hoping they properly cover the full windshield since the mirror doesn't attach to the windshield. It does state the part is custom fit to your model. Not a fan of that cutout since as others have mentioned you can simply slide under the mirror to make fit the windshield.

Btw, its 10% off right now at www.realtruck.com so the $55 shade is $49.50 with free shipping.

hence the reason why I didn't get Covercraft this time around. I had the Wrangler already, and it's summer, so I wasn't waiting. Mind you, I'm a Covercraft fan. I have it on all 4 of my other vehicles currently...except this Wrangler.

If it’s a panel style it will have a slight cutout in it to clear the mirror.. not because of the mirror itself, but because it won’t bend like the roll up ones do..

Please let us know how the fit is and if the cutout is or isn't there. Pics too... Thanks

I have bought UVS100 (@covercraft1965) for the last 4 cars over the years, but their “custom” fit is getting stupid sloppy. My 2009 CLK350 barely stays up with the visors. Same for our 2014 Porsche 981s. Please will a competitor step in! If it’s $10 or $20 more it’s worth the hassle as long as the quality is equal or better.

+1 for the UVS100 because it's really easy to put up, take down, and stow. It has the notch which I don't mind. If it didn't, I think it would be a PITA to try and work it around the rear view mirror. My wife's car has the roll up shade and I find it unwieldy and can never find a good spot to put it because of its size. The UVS100 stores nicely under the passenger seat.

Autoheatshield/Protrim responded already: They are recalling the JP22 inventory currently on Amazon to review and correct as needed. Stated that I will be sent the correct JP22 sunshade factory direct early next week. Indicated to keep/do what I want with the JP20 received today.

Fingers crossed the correct sunshade will be sent out this time.
Update: correct sunshade arrived 7/12. Took delivery of my Wrangler yesterday. Satisfied with the fitment and coverage.

Here is my Autoheatshield panel style..
It fits perfect, has the slight opening to get past the rearview mirror as it does not bend.. I had a roll up on another car and prefer this one..

Yep - exactly how mine is. I love the full coverage.

Storage wise, it rolls up nice and tight, and I fit it under the rear driver side seat. Perfectly.

I also prefer the panel style to the roll up. Do you have the link to where you purchased?

Well just got my covercraft and unfortunately not too pleased. The gap for the mirror is excessive I think compared to the post above with the Autoheatshield one. Also when put in there is a gap along the top of the windshield. For $50 that is supposed to be custom, not impressive. Bummer.
Let me know what you all think.

No bueno, I’ll wait for someone to make a functional shade.
It may be fall before I see my Wrangler anyway :headbang:
