Hey, I wave at Wranglers/Gladiators when I'm driving our motorhome, towing our JL or JT!

I have to consciously withhold my Jeep wave when riding my motorcycle. It's not an easy task because The Wave™ is also part of the riding community. So much pressure to get it right!

You can always tell who has a Wrangler, even when they are driving something else, because they will wave without thinking about it.

As a JTOD owner, I’ve noticed the more modded guys wave while stock guys don’t. That goes for both Wranglers and Gladiators. When my wife had her 18 JLU all lacked up with big tires and whatnot she would get waved at a lot. I liked to think that she was hot and guys were just waving at her. Then we traded her 18 for a 24 Willy’s 2 weeks ago, and not that many people wave anymore. She’s still hot though, and I wave at her every once in a while ?
I've noticed this as well. Honestly it's a pretty sure fire way to spot someone who bought a modified Wrangler, and who didn't modify it themselves.

I see lots of modified JKs who never Jeep Wave. I'm always under the impression that it's modified, but not by them. Basically they bought someone else's work, and therefore aren't true Jeeper fans. ?‍♂

If memory serves me, the original Jeep wave was created by old Jeepers and they waved at each other because they knew they were both mechanics who had to work on their own rigs to get them off the trails. Now people just ask their parents for more money ?

Sure you can. Most of the Gladiator's weight is over the front wheels and you use that weight against them. They'll have to load the bed with a lot of weight to prevent that.
Actually the weight split is better than 55/45 stock. Depending on trim and motor.

For some reason I still remember that look on his face as I passed him was one of disappointment. I might have killed the Jeep Club vibe for him. (Realistically speaking if I didn't, it would have happened to him eventually. We've all been there.) I just feel bad at this point because I might have been the one who crushed his dreams. Maybe he hates us Wrangler douchebags now! ?‍♂

I think about things like this sometimes ...
So my brain isn't the only one that dwells on things like this!

I popped over from the JT forum looking for the JL redesign year.
I drive a JT and a TJ.... wave to lots of Wranglers, but rarely get returns in the JT.

JT drivers don't appear to wave that often to other JTs ......

My understanding was that the original jeeps were bought and driven by veterans from WW2. The jeep wave is actually the V for victory sign.

The world will never know. I don’t know anyone who was driving military vehicles around in the 40s personally so I guess everything we read on the internet is speculation ?
