  1. Not sure what to believe

Also any of those "we buy your vehicle" price estimate sites Or the dealer might want it for someone who was supposed to be ordering a soft top, but that box didn't get clicked! ;)
  2. 2018 JL Infotainment screen / filter has been "peeling/bubbling"

If it's ruined anyway, no harm to be done. But it did make me think of this: I hope you find a good solution for your issue
  3. Not sure what to believe

I know the first digit is country of origin. 😄 And, that's all I know of the meaning. lol
  4. Not sure what to believe

Probably "build sheet or window sticker accessed via the VIN"
  5. Repairing a Soft Top Hole

Discovered a little hole (the pic is probably a bit too close to be useful) on the driver's side, near the front. It's a non-premium top from the factory. My first instinct was an iron-on denim patch, but I'm not sure about longevity. Second thought was "duct tape!" but then I thought maybe I...
  6. Not sure what to believe

I hope it does all work out. Are they installing it for you? You probably shouldn't accept the Jeep until installation is complete. (I wouldn't take it then return for installation.) Be sure to get everything in writing, too! It sounds like they're being good working with you, so it's probably...
  7. Not sure what to believe

And, even though ppl here (including me) obsess over the build process, follow it online, check the specs and codes, etc. Is it really the consumer's obligation to do so? The dealer either lied or doesn't know her product well enough
  8. Not sure what to believe

Do make sure you check into all those things which come with a factory hardtop -- the tubing and wiring and knobs. Stuff like that. Trading soft top for hard top and vice versa isn't an incredibly involved process if you have both, but I think those extra things are going to be much more difficult.
  9. Not sure what to believe

Did you order it (via the dealer) from the factory? And did you already accept delivery for it? The price new is considerably different for a hard top/dual top. The dealer says they didn't know it came with soft top only, or they knew and were planning to get you a hardtop? If you ordered a...
  10. Drone Mobile

My "free trial" with the Mopar remote start app will be ending soon. Has anyone installed a Drone Mobile system themselves? I am very happy with it on my other vehicle, so I think I'd like to go that way with the Wrangler. We upgraded the other one when the 5G (?) changeover happened, but we had...
  11. It's here!

  12. Dead battery while Jeep at the dealer

AFAIK, even if they did something to "drain" your batteries (like leaving something electrical running with the engine not running) it wouldn't actually kill them. They'd just need a jump. If the batteries have reached the end of their lives, they're done anyway. How old are the batteries? Do...
  13. GPS is lost

The built-in nav system? When GPS on a phone is acting weird, it's often recommended to restart it then wave the phone in a "figure 8" pattern. Maybe you could restart the Jeep then drive in a figure 8 a few times? Hopefully someone will have better advice!
  14. Thinking about buying a JL - test drive experience

Wranglers are definitely not for everyone. I hope you enjoy whatever you decide to get
  15. Latest owner survey

    Wtf are Kia dealers doing?
  16. Tuscadero Pink Is Back for 2024!

That's Tom Sawyer level party planning
  17. Need help

Bad batteries (covered under original Mopar warranty) An engine light was on but the "checklist" said there were no lights That same "checklist" said remote start and some other features were functioning. Those feature did not exist on my vehicle. (They didn't say it had those features, but it...
  18. Tuscadero Pink Is Back for 2024!

The Wrangler arrives, covered completely in mud. The shower guests grab water guns to reveal the baby's gender and help the parents-to-be clean their Jeep!
  19. Tuscadero Pink Is Back for 2024!

The online pics are usually inaccurate -- especially renditions from Jeep itself. (High Velocity comes to mind as a good example)
  20. Need help

This! I, very briefly, owned a beautiful JL Sport - bikini 2 door with a premium soft top. It was mostly terrific, but I bought it knowing I had the safety net of a (Carvana) 7-day return policy. After 3 or 4 days and a visit to a mechanic, I started the return It broke my heart a bit to see my...
