Does the jeep wave include the Gladiator too?

So i drive a 18 jl, n the jeep wave is cool but i sometimes wave back at what i think is another wrangler comin my way but as it passes i see the truck bed n im like oh damn, i thought the wave was only amongst wranglers. Is there like an etiquette for that or what? Just curious is all.
If you dont wave i turn around and chase you down

I did not know about the Jeep Wave until my second Wrangler. I thought it strange as I have live in a rural agricultural area my entire life. Almost everyone waves meeting someone else, whether in a pickup, car, horseback, on a tractor, a combine, or walking. Guess I never noticed the “Jeep” thing. I do travel to other areas where waving is not common. I do appreciate the waves though, friendly and courteous. 👋

I got a wave once from a gladiator. And theres a ton of them.
They seem to hate wranglers.

You get the wave here for 2 reasons. 1....You can´t tell it is a Gladiator and not a Wrangler until you are along side it. 2) It is a Jeep. Period. If not, then the Scrambler wasn´t a Jeep, either. But it was, so....

No difference in Wrangler vs. Gladiator waves in these parts. I have both and everyone waves.

If you pass me you'll get a wave whether I'm driving my Gladiator, my wfe's Wrangler, or my motorhomoe pulling either one...

I often wave at other Jeeps, including Gladiators. I figure I am waving at the Jeep, and showing respect to the Jeep. I am not waving at the putz that is often driving it. Who cares if they don't wave back, I wasn't waving at them anyway. So, the more similarly equipped another Jeep is to mine the more likely it is that I will wave.

Me too. I wouldn't give up my Wrangler for one, but it would sure be nice to have as an addition.
Lol, that was prophetic. I still have the JLUR but now have a JTR in the garage next to it. Both get waves wherever we go.

I had both a JLUR Wrangler and JTRD Gladiator at the same time. I always waved in either of my Jeeps and got waves back. I didn't extend the wave to Grand Cherokees, Cherokees, and other Jeeps, just Wranglers and Gladiators.

Yep, around here, it is hard enough to keep up with Wranglers and Gladiators. If we waved at the others, the wave would die because we'd get sick of it.

Besides that, I never notice them. I like them, (Trail Hawks) but they look like every other car/SUV. They aren't the iconic Jeeps.

I got a few waves in the JTM, but definitely receive ore in the JLURD or the 392. For me giving a wave, I do it if I don't notice the rig too late. I will wave at other jeeps if they look to be setup for off roading as well.

It does for me! Waves and pink ducks for Gladiators everywhere!

(Mostly because it looks like a regular jeep when it's coming straight at you in the other lane.)
