@Punkn89

I saw a gladiator on the way home from work today. I waved at him and he waved back. I didn't realize till I was almost on top of him that his Wrangler had a truck bed.

Do you think that goes both ways? Do you think those Gladiator guys are also unsure what us Wranglers guys are actually driving until they are on top of us and can see that we don't have a truck bed?

"JEEP WAVE" Not "Wrangler Wave"
Peeps (not enough) understand what is a Jeep and give homage to the Wrangler. Those waving to a Cherokee or Renegade have lost their Compass.

Nope. Done with that bullshit.

When I had my Cherokee, I would give/receive - receive/give waves to Wranglers. ?‍♂

I can never tell either. Sometimes I forget I have a bed myself!

It's still a Wrangler in my opinion, just a truck version. My way of looking at it, with any Jeep, is if they wave, I'll prob wave back, if I'm not other wise distracted. I don't drive around on point looking for Jeeps to wave at.
I remember a couple years ago while driving a local road, a guy with new vehicle tags and a clearly factory shine Jeep Compass (after they just did the redesign) wave at me like he was excited that he's part of the Jeep community now. I saw he was in a Compass, and was like SCHMUCK, and didn't wave back.

For some reason I still remember that look on his face as I passed him was one of disappointment. I might have killed the Jeep Club vibe for him. (Realistically speaking if I didn't, it would have happened to him eventually. We've all been there.) I just feel bad at this point because I might have been the one who crushed his dreams. Maybe he hates us Wrangler douchebags now! ?‍♂

I think about things like this sometimes, that's why I wave at everyone. I mean if I wave it locals that I know, why not wave that people on the street no matter what they have. If nothing else you're being polite and kind and in the best case scenario, maybe you're making someone's day. So why not, fuck it! ✌

Would you Wranglers Jeep wave gladiators at all?
Yes, every time, if only because it's the rare day when I'm able to discern, from a distance, that it's a JT and not a JL in the oncoming lane.

The Gladdy is, by and large, a Wrangler with a bed, so it's not really a distinction that is worth thinking about very much.

This thread is pretty dumb. However I've gotten several chuckles out of it.
Sure I try and wave. It’s hard though, I live in the wooded mountains. Every third vehicle is a Jeep, the other two thirds are dodge 2500, and Chevy 2500.
I have that problem. Maybe should get a wave window sticker........ :LOL:

As a JTOD owner, I’ve noticed the more modded guys wave while stock guys don’t. That goes for both Wranglers and Gladiators. When my wife had her 18 JLU all lacked up with big tires and whatnot she would get waved at a lot. I liked to think that she was hot and guys were just waving at her. Then we traded her 18 for a 24 Willy’s 2 weeks ago, and not that many people wave anymore. She’s still hot though, and I wave at her every once in a while ?
