Go gently on the hinge bolts, they will be a little bit stuck because of the paints. Break the paint with gentle tap first.Going to install the Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement today hopefully. Anything I need to be aware of? Looks pretty straightforward. Advice from those that have done it? Thanks and be safe out there!
make sure you use the right size torx, there is so much paint that it appears to be a smaller size than it is. They do supply different bolts so if you don’t swap it for a newer setup it does matter that much.Go gently on the hinge bolts, they will be a little bit stuck because of the paints. Be sure to mark your gate in relation to the body with painter tape or marker, they may move when you took off all the hinge bolts. Use some shims to hold it.
Have shims to hold it in place hopefully. If it moves, I assume I just re-align and tighten the bolts up?Go gently on the hinge bolts, they will be a little bit stuck because of the paints. Break the paint with gentle tap first.

Yes, and if you are going to put on a much heavier rim+tire, it actually helps if you shim up a little more so the sag will be offset.Have shims to hold it in place hopefully. If it moves, I assume I just re-align and tighten the bolts up?
Stock upgraded Rubi rim with a 35" Nitto RG. Although it's a heavy tire, I don't think it'll be too bad with the stock rim.Yes, and if you are going to put on a much heavier rim+tire, it actually helps if you shim up a little more so the sag will be offset.
