Any opinions on how the hinge/bracket will hold up with an added 2 or 3 gallons of fuel?
Did you ever get an answer to this? I'm thinking about using those three studs to mount a rather sizeable and sturdy but not-exactly-cheap HF antenna ( 2019 - Barrett Communications ).

My other option would be to extend the mount behind the tire carrier, replacing one of the upper-right shims from the oversize tire carrier kit so I can tie into those bolts.

Think I'd be okay with just using those three screws on the gate reinforcement, or should I play it safe and also use the tire carrier bolts? The antenna needs 6" of clearance from the tailgate and tire, so there's going to be a decent amount of torque on the mount and stress on the upper bolt...

I found this here: https://dragojeepproducts.com/products/rotopax-mount-holder-bracket-for-mopar-tire-carrier

A bit spendy at $335 but I haven't seen a RotoPax mount for the reinforcement bracket elsewhere. Any opinions on how the hinge/bracket will hold up with an added 2 or 3 gallons of fuel?

I wonder whether this mount could made into a simple MaxTrax holder. Cutting the small horizontal piece in the center would give a perfectly flat surface. Or would it be too narrow ?

I was looking for an easy solution to this and the best I've found was to use a Rockslide engineering EZ-Rack with the Warrior products MaxTrax mount. I also used the MaxTrax mounting pins since you can attach a lock to them.

I've been running this setup for a month and haven't had any issues with the EZ Rack coming loose. I'd prefer a mount similar to the GP factor JK mount but this works great so far. Can grab some pictures later if people are interested.

Very interesting solution, thanks. Did you mount the MaxTrax horizontally on top of the tire or at the side?

Looking at the Warrior products MaxTrax mount, I am now wondering whether I can get away with a pair of Mini Maxtrax – the reduced size and weight would make them less bulky to mount – or whether I need the full size. Planning to drive my JLURubicon through Central Asia. But I will post this question in a dedicated thread, it is kind of off-topic here.

I mounted vertically on the side as in the pics below. Ignore the blue snatch straps. I had these on until I was convinced that the EZ-rack wouldn't bounce off:

Love this! Have been wracking my brain all morning on how to mount some recovery boards to this same rock slide rack and this is perfect! I was very close to resigning myself to having to drill holes... didn't exactly want to do that in a new set of MaxTrax. Thanks for posting!

Just take care to carefully align the MaxTrax so they don't smash into your rear tail light / hit the bumper when the tailgate is open!

What did you to mount the Warrior plate to the EZ rack plate, any particular hardware? Thank for the Idea. Its the best one I've seen since i have a JL soft top

I can't remember the exact sizes, but I just grabbed some nuts, bolts, washers and blue loctite from Home Depot. There are a ton of holes in the warrior plate so it's easy to find a good configuration.

The only tricky part is making sure that once everything is in position that the teeth of the traction board don't smash the rear tail light when the tailgate is open.

Good luck with your install!

Stupid question - are the “accessory holes” really M10 threading exactly 10” apart?

M10 bolts didn’t feel like they were cross-threading but given that spacing, I’m a little worried…

For the curious I was prototyping an antenna mount:
