I fully agree with all your points as well. It only took me 5 figures to get it wherever I wanted to.
Noise isnt an issue, I'm a loudmouth prick.
Handles amazing with all suspension parts replaced and upgraded.
Engine selection is fine, I dont race a breadbox.
Even stock, I dont think I would roll a heep on a curve, granted, I work with physics daily so maybe I am just in tune more with centrifugal force?

BTW, it's a truck...never driven a truck before? I've driven a few and my 2025 Willys drives fantastic compared to most others and is quite capable offroad.

I do like the way my JL drives. For a solid axle it is quite nice though I have Fox shocks now. For road trips it isn’t ideal but for anything past 6-7 hours but about the best a Wrangler can drive.

I'd venture to say, the vast majority of Wrangler owners have other vehicles in the household (including the OP). If I want handling and performance, I jump on my BMW M2. My gf commutes in an EV. The Jeep is for weekend fun and for not giving 2 f$@# going over the giant potholes infesting the roads around here.

P.S. My fridge has Burgers, Vegie Burgers (gf is Vegan) and hotdogs. Just like the garage.

I think a lot of our expectations with Wranglers, or any vehicle for that matter, are highly dependent on our individual driving histories and previously-owned vehicles.

Grew up with my 2000 Pontiac Trans Am then got left to me after Uncle passed away

BUT

1st car was a 2005 Civic 5 Speed

then a 2007 Scion tC 5 speed

then a 2010 VW GTi 6 speed

after hurricane sandy flipped over my GTi i got a 2012 Scion FRS 6 speed

THEN i got a 2015 2 door Sahara 6 Speed

after that, a 2018 STi 6 speed

Then my current 2022 JLR 6 Speed (My GOD this transmission sucks ass)

Enthusiast vehicles, smiles per gallon...

I either daily a Rubicon that is an off-road first design or a heavily modified M car that is a nearly 1,000 HP track first design. Neither are great daily drivers or at all efficient, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Done several 1,000+ mile road trips in the Jeep.

Every time I add another vehicle to the stable that is softer or more luxurious, I get bored with it and sell it at a loss after 6 months or less. Last SUV had full self drive and massaging AC seats, 4 zone climate, every high-end feature. Naaahhh, I'd still take the Rubicon every time.

Smiles per gallon.... The wrangler is better on gas than my M car too, she's like a Prius even with a custom E20 (E85+91) JB4 tune on the 2.0T

Check out your local Toyota dealer I hear the Camry gets good MPG

Because nobody gives a dusty fuck about your Tahoe. People probably think you are some used car salesman’s spoiled 16yo daughter. Your Tahoe is not a truck, no matter how much you tell yourself it’s a truck it will always be a full size SUV. Seriously, you want facts? Go on the Chevy website, your grocery getter is listed under the SUV category. You aren’t even man enough to drive a Suburban, you pussed out and went for the small full size SUV.
Bring that castrated 1/2 ton here and I’ll show you how useless it is as a truck and why it is in the SUV category.

I'm part Jeep guy and part not Jeep guy but the only vehicle I own now is a Jeep. For almost all of my driving life I've driven sports cars or sports sedans, I sold my last sports sedan a year ago. Since I got out of college I've also been very interested in the backcountry of Utah and Colorado which required me to hike or backpack to get there. This is what is behind my part Jeep guy and part not Jeep guy.
I knew someone who was a journalist and went to the introduction of the first Grand Cherokee. He was also a sports car enthusiast. After driving the GC he told me if I ever drove one I would buy it. I was happy with my sports sedan so I stayed away from the GC but at some point my wife decided she wanted one so we bought one. We did a lot of trails in Colorado which I liked. Many years later I decided I wanted to spend more time in Utah and Colorado doing trails and whatever so that lead me to buy my current Wrangler. So for me the Wrangler is the means to an end.
The Wrangler on pavement will never equal my sports sedans but off road it more than makes up for it and that is what I bought it for. I can tolerate the ride, I'm not a "princess and the pea" kind of person. I really wish it had better steering on the freeway and I wish it had less wind noise. Everything else I'm fine with.

This entire thread reminds me of an incident that three posters here were involved in - literally a life-and-death story (albeit a fictional one). Here’s that story.

@Terrymo (Terry), @yokramer (Kramer), and @reaperhwk (Reaper) were on safari in a very remote area of Africa. One day, they were surrounded and captured by a tribe. Things became very tense very quickly, as they were each tied tightly to their own pole buried deeply in the ground.

The chief, who spoke English, stepped forward to the first of the three men, Terry. The chief eyed him and said, “I give you two choices. Boola-boola or death!”

Terry, being the pragmatic and intellectual sort, wanted to live. He didn’t know what “boola-boola” was, but he sure knew what death was, so there must be a difference - even though there were worse things than death. But Terry had lived a very hard life, and was a survivor. With great trepidation, Terry unsurely replied, “Boola-boola. I will take boola-boola.”

The chief turned to his tribe and commanded them in a loud voice, raising one arm, “Boola-boola!”

The tribe swarmed forward and jumped on Terry, brutally and sloppily rump-wrangling him, all the while screaming “boola-boola” over and over again. A long 15 minutes later, they stepped back, sweaty, repositioning their groin cloths. Terry was slumped against the pole, his torn pants around his knees, covered in man-juice and sobbing, but happy to be alive.

The chief stepped to the second hapless man, Kramer. Kramer was trembling now, after watching the tribe enthusiastically “do their thing” with Terry. “I give you two choices. Boola-boola or death!”

Well, the remaining two men now knew what “boola-boola” was. But Terry was alive, he was untied, and he was being tended to by the women of the tribe. With tears in his eyes, Kramer meekly said, in a high-pitched voice, “I will take boola-boola too.”

The chief turned to the tribe, raised one arm, and said loudly, “Boola-boola!”

The scene repeated itself, madly humping native butts gleaming in the hot sun, Kramer squealing and crying, the tribesmen shouting “Boole-boola” over and over again. 15 minutes later, they were finished - but Kramer was still alive.

The chief stepped up to the third, very defiant man, Reaper. Reaper was a man’s man, very macho and authoritative, very sure of himself. He had lived a long, glorious life, a wealthy man in the twilight of his career, who, oddly enough, drove a Chevy Tahoe. He did not fear death, and there was NO WAY he would allow the tribe to have its way with him. He scowled into the chief’s face, spit on the ground, and growled “I take death!”

The chief was very surprised by this. This man was strong, sure of his convictions. The tribe had never encountered a man like Reaper before. The chief said to Reaper, with a puzzled look on his face, “Are you sure?”

Reaper looked him in the eye and said “Death. Bring it.”

The chief shrugged his shoulders, turned to his tribe, raised both arms and shouted “Death! By boola-boola!”
