So I bought a 2023 Willy's Sport for my wife (which SHE loves and daily drives most days). I get the appeal for its simplicity and being a "jeep" but after a few weeks of ownership I rarely drive it and don't care to.

Now I don't regret the purchase because it's not MY Jeep but I thought it would be different to hear from someone from my perspective on why someone DOES NOT like a Jeep! lol. Not bashing but it's like if you're a burger guy and keep getting hot dogs, other people prefer the dogs. Also this is a low trim Jeep so I'm not going to complain that it doesn't have leather, power windows/doors, etc. I know the higher trims have all that.

1. The biggest thing is the ride is harsh and not smooth at all, it's like I'm driving a little toy truck on the road with suspension so stiff it jars it's like driving with no shocks. Almost like a one of those plastic toy cars you buy from walmart with plastic wheels. It's night and day ride to my daily which is a 2026 Tahoe with magnetic ride and air suspension, that drives like it's on a cloud. Maybe if I didn't have that truck I wouldn't notice.

2. Sound insulation and road noise is prevalent, have to actually raise your voice to talk in this thing. Especially if your crusin at 80mph on the highway.

3. I know they make more powerful engines than the V6 in mine, but it can barely get out of it's own way.

4. Handling is piss poor, I think if I took a curve hard I'd be on my roof lol.

5. Interior space is small and uncomfortable, also cargo space is limited. It also has a tow hitch but the tow rating is non-existent. This is a #5 low complaint because I know it's just the design of the vehicle but affects it as a "daily driver".

Maybe some more, but I know if I took it "off road" it would shine.

But I don't know how you guys daily drive these things!

Youre in luck. There are a TON of dudes in here that love hot dogs. 😉

I fully agree with all your points as well. It only took me 5 figures to get it wherever I wanted to.
Noise isnt an issue, I'm a loudmouth prick.
Handles amazing with all suspension parts replaced and upgraded.
Engine selection is fine, I dont race a breadbox.
Even stock, I dont think I would roll a heep on a curve, granted, I work with physics daily so maybe I am just in tune more with centrifugal force?

Send your wife over here, she will have a blast in here and will very quickly be able to teach you all about the jeep. Win/win. I mean you went to the trouble of creating an account and all.

Your expectations for a first priority off road focused, SFA, open air possible vehicle were ? Have you driven other SFA vehicles ? Anyway- agree the engine options with no mid level about 400 lb ft available leave a lot to be desired.

So the wife is the man in the family then. How big is your purse?
